That happened to me once while I was soloing Kaiden Prisoner, but the next couple times, I just asked them not to touch the mob in /say and was lucky enough to have them leave me alone.

If you can sneak into the actual area following a group, you might be able to kite inside when there aren't as many bystanders. It's not as safe, but it's doable.

You could also try Eracus Temple--the mobs there are a couple levels higher and there isn't as much room to move around though.

Any Elyos on Siel wanna tell me where to find some bots to murder on your side? I have been wanting to farm off of them for a long time, bots are practically everywhere I go in Asmo.

What are some of the social "rules" for this game?

Is it a dick move to lot on shit that can be sold on broker in PvE situations for example?

Yeah it is, but I usually wait to see if others in my group lot on random shit (in PUGs), if they do I just lot on everything out of spite.

Set up lotting rules when you start the party. Generally after 35 or so, I'd say green should be freelot, because no one should actually be using most of it.

If you want to kill asmo bots on Vaizel, head to the Volcano area in Morheim, the area just north (the desert location) where the big crow spawns, or just outside the starting city in Bel.

I report so many bots that I run out of reports for the hour in less than 3 minutes. =_

They should make the "suspected bot" tag make people give more AP. I run past botters when I rift, it's not worth standing still for that long to get maybe 5 AP.

Generally ppl think so. I don't see why everyone just doesn't loot on everything and sell what they can't use. I'd think it would be better to at least roll on something in the party and not get it, then to do whatever the group is doing and come away with 'nothing I could even lot on dropped'. Ofcuz BoP would be need roll only.

Rolling on every BOE is the fairest longterm way of doing it, because everyone ends up equal.

If you use NBG some asshole will always ninja stuff and the nicer players suffer.
I'd rather have no asshole variance and just roll everything in pickups.

With guild groups of course we NBG.

That said I wish the game had it's own implementation akin to the warhammer rolling system which enforced you could only need items you could wear ( and imo should force soulbind on drop if you hit need ).

When should I start working on those Spy quests? I tried earlier today and I kept ganking every few feet. It wasn't fun. --; At all.

Unless you're going with a giant army, I've found a lot of the spy quests nearly impossible to do unless you're like... maybe doing them at off-peak times. Even then it's a gamble.

Is cooking ever profitable? At 200 skill I have yet to see a recipe that would make me money like Armorcraft and the rest have for money making procs.

Also, how can I make money off of extract vitality? I have been running around getting green/blue ores but they just don't sell for enough to call it a money making method, unless I'm missing something fantastic at higher than 250.

Only real money I've made off gathering is selling stuff that is required for quests. With all the soloing I've been doing in the Lepharist Citadel area to get Golden Insignias, I've probably gathered around 350 Garnet Ore that I've been slowly selling for 10k per 4 (Heiron quest). If I'm lucky, I'll have 10 AH slots sold from a mule overnight, which I've been using to buy cheap Insignias if I see 'em on AH. So, nothing outrageous in terms of cash, but it's been adding up.

Just need to be careful on pricing. Too high and people won't bite. Too low and you're certainly wasting your time. In the strip I'd run to pick up Garnets when they'd all pop, I'd get 7 in maybe 3 minutes depending on how cooperative aggro is. Probably get 28/hr, so that pans out to 70k for not doing much between kills. Probably how much I actually sell per day on average, too. When I'm done with collecting Insignia, I'm probably gonna bazaar in Heiron at a slightly higher price than my mule sells for to see if taking advantage of those too lazy to walk 100 feet to the AH pays off.

It's in options somewhere. Near the UI setup. Not exactly sure of the wording. Im sure you can find it.

30ish min would be my suggestion. Also, you probably want to go with a group and bring some Kisks.

As a chanter, what stats am I looking to focus on? I'm a bit confused so far because you start out more of a caster and then morph into a melee.

Is there any stats that increase the buffs I give? Does magic boost add to healing spells?

My best guess is to focus on phys crit, phys att and mp?
