Think I slogged out to 28 off the armored skeletons near the home base in the Abyss, but nowadays you'd probably be prime gankbait for the PvP types that like to grief levelers. Only other real option is Eltnen, but I dunno if you prefer fighting stuff higher or lower than you.

Yeh i tried those and get a lv30+ asmo come kill me every 15mins or so, such a pain in the ass.

Where to grind at 27~29 when NTC timer is down? The Abyss? If so where?

Around the western tele location, not online atm and horrible w/ aion nomenclature, of Eltnen there is a Krawl camp. Take the tele and just go a little further west. Once you figure how they link, and move around it's probably the best camp around ~30ish.

I think they are level 30-31ish.

The klaws there are 30-32, which is a little high for 27. You could do it at 27 but expect kills to take a while, especially on the 31/32s, and rest/pot often. For lower level mobs, you can try the area west of the Outpost Ruins in eltnen. I believe they are about 26-27 there. The Caraytids die quickly, but use ranged attacks and fairly damaging, the rest of the mobs take a little longer to kill but melee only.

If the opposite faction controls Western Siel Fortress, you can do the Memory Reaper repeatable quest. It's on the island at the southeast part of the Western Siel area.

For Sorcerer armor, what exactly should I be looking for stat wise? I'm currently level 30 and trying to figure out what my next armor set is.

And also, why do I see a lot of 40+ sorcerers have power shards equipped? I thought it only effected melee hits? o.0

almost 34 templar now and i have been eyeing the atk speed and speed+ boots bought with AP for some time now, but grinding in the abyss at my level puts me close to elyos one way or another and i guess my class and me in general suck at PvP. basically i want to be able to farm up AP at a decent rate. is there any way to do this solo?

There really isn't any efficient way to farm AP solo unless you are a class that can burst people down quickly. Only reason for that is because you can go solo rift and just kill someone quickly and MGS your way to the next person. As a templar, I don't think there is any way other than toughing out the AP you get from mobs in the abyss.

Good ways to get AP though, is to find some friends, go do the lower abyss instances for easy AP. You get items from each instance that you can turn into NPCs for AP. You can also group rift and you really only need 1 or 2 more people to get good AP from a rift.

Also, I suggest getting your atk speed hands before the movement speed shoes unless you can get a steady stream of AP. At level 37 you get a quest for movement speed shoes that you can start farming up the items for at level 35.

Why do Asmodian rifts blow so much? Our rift from Bakarma to Indratu puts us in a room with some legendary balaur and dozens of adds.

So, tonight, my legion and I (All 4 of us! Yay for FFXI minded statics) hit NTC at 25. It was fun!

But sadly, we didn't win. Templar, Cleric, Ranger, Assassin, if anybody was wondering.

But that's not the question!

I've heard of cooldown being 18 hours, but we were able to immediately reenter, although enemies were still dead. Is the cooldown just when all the enemies respawn? Can we kill the boss at anytime before that, and still have the same cooldown time?

I would recommend the Balaur Mobs in lower for the Balaur Drops.
Thick Scale = 5-10k
Thick Skin = 10-15k
Thick Horn = 15-20k
etc... Great way to Grind/Farm Kinah/Gain AP all at the same time.

Where does one get this set? :/ I can't seem to find which armor pieces make this set or which pieces I would need to get current armor remodeled.
BTW - Dumped Cleric until they fix AP Gains -_-; Started an Assassin. /bandwagon

Pretty sure all of the armor shown in the character creation is the HQ crafted level 42 or 43 armor set.

I wish those were the prices on my server. People are selling those parts for the following on my server:

Thick Scale: 40-50k
Thick Horn: 40-50k
Thick Skin: 20-25k
Cold Balaur Blood: 15-20k

Some mobs that drop these can be found are the balaur mobs on the sulfur archipelago on the north end if I remember correctly.

Is there any level cap on crafting ? Eg cant go over 200 unless level 10 or something similar?

You can't accept the expert quest (break 399 cap) until 29. If you take a craft to 399 on a level 10 char, you'll get to 22 on the XP gain just doing work orders only.

You can't start crafting until level 10 as you need to complete your ascension and make it to sanctum/pandaemonium to craft.

I farmed at these locations... Not so much on the Elyos Island because I'm asmo but I know they are there >_>
