As a melee, I don't see anything in that recipe list i'd personally use over the 50 crit dumplings or 10 atk/200 hp steaks.

The only purpose of leveling cooking is for "easy 449" miragent's, but it's honestly kinda dumb since a single failed heart of magic synth costs several times what expert in a real craft costs, and you can't ever take back your expert cooking decision.
I just hit 35, and I swear my character is hitting a hell of a lot faster now, just wondering if there is like a natural speed boost at 35 or am I just going insane?
I hit 41 templar recently today and was wondering is there any reason to choose xeno's sword over the mace? It looks like the extendability of the mace is too nice to give up especially for pvp. Only temptation for the sword I have is because of its look lol...
Personally i loved the rotating 3 blades look of the sword, but if i could go back i would take the mace.
One of my friends is playing this one and I wanna give it a try for the shits. Not going to take it seriously in any way like FFXI. That being said, what would be a decent class for someone like me: RDM/BLM, basically soloed all the merits in sky for both >_>
tl;tr: recommend a job similarish to: RDM, BLM, RNG, etc. I like to solo and kill shit by myself.
RDM = Chanter
BLM = Sorc
RNG = Ranger.
Could try all three jobs and see what you like the most.
cleric is like rdm+blm+whm rolled into one once you hit 34ish
SM, Sorc, or Ranger
come on now: nothing a chanter does is even remotely like a real rdm's play style, cleric fits the bill much better. Cleric is a power healer with a ton of MP endurance, several(stimga) dot spells and more focused on magic damage then melee (rdm's tier III nukes in most cases were better damage then a rdm's melee, enspells never made a rdm close to a melee class)
I don't know much about Chanter, but is it like DD Brd w/ a shit load of mp or Cor healer or something unique?
My chanter really reminds me of my RDM not just for the nuking but the being able to solo pretty well. Granted a cleric *might* fit but I still see a cleric as a buffed up WHM. And during instances they just kinda stand there.
Also chanter does fit a BRD/DNC role too. *shrug* I'm still sticking to what I said. Just play all three jobs and see which one you like.
Anyone know what the exact bonus/points value is for Crowns/Goblets handed in to the core shugos instead of the landing?
The point of a chanter is to be a waste of a slot until you get to a boss.
