Also worth noting that cleric kill speed is surprisingly good in this game, it's not like whm in ffxi at all. I'm really glad I rolled cleric, since I was tempted to roll a couple other jobs (I'm almost always a healer) but stuck it out. Also you save money on health and status removal pots, since you only need status removers from silence and only need health pots for really bad emergencies.

And yes, parties love you. If you go cleric, I strongly recommend you keep track of good players as you come across them so you can group up with them again. If you do a good job they will be really happy to have you along, and you get to avoid the assholes.

Don't know much about chanter since mine is level 10 lol, but from fighting them I know they are capable of some nasty dps and stun/knockdown locking in the mid-late 40s, and their buffs are just plain awesome.

I underestimated Magic Boost on my cleric, initially thinking I'd just put HP+75 stones in all of my Daeva set. However, after +10'ing the mace and putting +23s in the mace/shield on top of mboost earrings, kill time upped exponentially alongside use of Earth's Wrath and Chastisement. I have Reverse Condition set instead of Blinding Light, though. Just generally more handy for party environment, I think, and Penance paired with that makes me feel like some kind of SCH and RDM mixed with Aion's equivalent of Sublimation and Convert. Sadly, there are some groups where I think I'd make a better dedicated tank than the tanks we have.

Okay so right now my SM has 3/5 of the Daeva armor and I'm wondering around what level should I upgrade those? (Body, Legs, Shoulders)

So I decided to start saving AP for the Lv30 golds just to have a PVP set, since I read it was helpful. Now I'm wondering, is it worth spending the extra AP on the Elite version or should I stick to the golds from the regular vendor? Wondering since this obviously wouldn't be my final pvp armor set, so I'm not sure if it's worth it.

Just curious, why the level 30 golds and not 50's? Personally i would do all level 50 accessories first then move onto armor. If you're set on getting level 30 anything, as it seems that you don't PVP much, then i would still go level 30 accessories first.

The Lv50 set is out of the question for me right now, since it requires so many points that I'd have to get a high rank and thus I'd be targeted by all the asmos. If I'm going to be a target, I'd at least need some decent armor to be able to defend myself.

I hadn't really thought about doing this until I saw Gryffes' post:
Basically, lvl 30 pvp set is your first great set.

You'll roll people w/ miragents pretty easily if your whole group has it + decent weapons yourselves.

Miragents is just a fast ( if the leg proc likes you ) way of getting ahead of the curve and having an alt set for magic resist when you have a full pvp set as well.
I looked into it more, and the Lv30 golds really aren't very much AP at all.. the price of the full set is about the same as one of the three cheapest Lv50 gold pieces. And I think having the full Lv30 set would probably make me a lot more durable than just one Lv50 piece, thus help the grind for the Lv50 set a great deal.

You should get the 30 elite set as it has bonus HP on it for not much more AP than the regular.

Here's why. Level 30 fullset is like 450k or so, level 50 fullset is 2mill.

So you will be running around in pve gear with 1 piece of level 50 armour vs someone in 5 pieces of 30... with 2 extra slots per piece, it makes a huge difference in sieges, my legions 2 groups can clear a whole raid of asmo because we all roll in AP armour.

    Mandatory for srz sieging/dredgion really.

The other good thing about the 30 elite set is that when you buy it/etc you can still go grind the core, still random pvp while you're getting the set, if you go for the 50 set straight away for long periods you will be high rank/officer rank and not be able to do that.

Imo the way to go is 30 gold accessories ( no medal requirement, really nice +damage anyway ) > 30 elite armour > replace w/50 stuff.

The full 30 gold accessory set doesn't cost as much as the 50 gold neck.... so you get 12% damage upgrade approx and all the flight time + acc that comes with it, vs 4% damage upgrade.

Is there a way to get your alternate char names listed in the premade mail reception list? Seems like it only lists people on your flist or in your legion, but naturally you can't flist yourself. It just gets old having to type in names manually when I might not have to.

Why are you mailing your alt? Use the account warehouse.

Anybody know where to find the stats of the Daeva armor set? Tried looking around on the wiki and google but can't find anything directly showing the stats.

    Assuming you're going cleric, http://www.aionarmory.com/itemset.aspx?id=8

Poking around should lead you to the rest from there.

Hoping to get my sin to Lv30 over double exp weekend.. wondering what the best weapons to use then would be, debating between...

    Flash Dagger / Flash Dagger
    Flash Dagger / Courageous Sword
    Flash Dagger / Inferno

It seems like dual daggers would be the best, but I've heard of other sins using inferno offhand and I'm not really sure if that's best. Another Flash Dagger looks good because it has almost the same amount of crit, plus a little atk speed too.

dagger/dagger, dagger/sword, and sword/sword all have their pros and cons really, it's a matter of taste

dagger/dagger is a little faster than the others and has slightly higher crit damage, but lower regular damage. you also need less crit stones because of the +crit on the flash dagger

dagger/sword is a tiny bit slower, but otherwise pretty similar. auto-attack damage will be a little higher but not enough to matter, attack speed is a little slower but not enough to matter, you'll lose some +crit for some +attack.

sword/sword is higher damage per hit, but slower swings and more crit stones needed.

flash/courageous is definitely better than flash/inferno, but flash/flash vs flash/cour vs cour/cour is kind of a toss up. i went dual cour swords on my sin and had great results, but a lot prefer flash/flash or flash/cour too and have great results as well. as long as you can reach crit cap with any of the setups and use attack stones everywhere else, you can't really lose.

Attack speed bonus from multiple weapons does not stack, only the higher of the 2 is counted, so flash dagger + inferno would actually win out slightly in terms of damage, however, you miss out on 374 HP by not off handing a 2nd daeva weapon which is huge if your intent is PVP. For PvP, I'd personally use flash dagger + courageous sword.
