As an aside, I'm feeling like I'm in desperate need of a weapon upgrade for my gladiator. I have an Expert Orichalcum GS, but haven't really enchanted it far since I can't see throwing the kinah into gear that would ideally be replaced. Most GS or Spears on AH are junk whites or greens. I have a quest where apparently I can buff our fort boss, but that obviously requires the Asmos having control (and me not getting facerolled trying to get there). There anywhere in particular I can target on my own and just hope for something? Most named mobs I've bumped across so far just seem to be for quests.

You're level 55 or? You could merge what you have with a decent great sword without attack speed. On our server Drazma Greatswords are pretty common.

For asmo, the campaign quest is "The Aether Must Flow".

Level 51 and having done the previous campaigns for inggison/gelkmaros are required.

So I'm rolling with a new character and I'm trying to get some stigma advice for Ranger. I have a 37 Ranger currently and I'm trying to push him as fast as I can to get him to at least 50 and I'll probably slow it down a bit from there to work on my Fenris set. As I've read and seen the stat comparison and for leather Fenris is one of the best sets outside of Abyss gear. Now granted by the time I get to working on my legs the hearts will probably cost like 60M per attempt or something stupid, but whatever. Anyway, my question is more about the stigmas.

From what I've read people keep saying to mix it up, and don't stick with one tree. Right now I'm sitting on Bow of Blessing, Sleep, and Silence. The stigmas at lower levels just seem to completely suck and I don't know what I'm going to do at 40 (I honestly haven't even bothered looking too deeply at it yet).

I don't intend to PvP quite yet cause honestly right now rifting is dead (I think I've seen 3 Elyos in the last 37 levels and all of them were level 20s trying to do quests) and if I go near the Abyss 55's just camp the quest spots and I get 2 shotted so no point in it currently till I'm much higher. I do want to eventually do PvP but it seems that a PvE and PvP style have the majority of the same stigma setups. Is it really all pretty much all encompassing?

I doubt there will be anything equal about the jobs. Everything is insanely reliant on gear and a far second skill. Classes still seem to have their weakness to certain classes as they always seemed to have. But the weakness to a class can be overcome if you outgear then in a lot of cases.

It's hard to say if anything is equal with lower levels since rifting is dead and a lot of people only step foot into the abyss for forts and instances. Hell I'm worried to even try to work on a few campaigns in the abyss since it's covered with bored 55's who can't kill anyone in Balaurea so they prey on level 30's.

figure i'll give this another try since i like a lot of the changes i've seen in the patch notes, but now i'm kind of lost with the new stuff and deciding what to do.

looking for random sorc gear advice, what to pursue, where to spend ap/kinah. looking for both pve and pvp sets.

40k AP, and like 3 vet reward crowns sitting around
+5 triroan's tome with attack speed combine
for advanced stigmas, i have illusion/illusion storm/sleeping storm/summon rock/supplication of focus. i still need flame spray and the 51+ ones.
30 elite pvp boots, bollvig's tunic, zapiel earring, gold 30 ap rings/belt, lolmosqua's hairpin, rest is blue gear

where should i prioritize? should i dump the money into mira's? obviously going to be doing c-dredg for AP and grinding for some XP/cash, but what else can i do in the meantime with my gear to upgrade? i have some +7% cast speed gloves for when i hit 53, but if i have mira's i don't know if i'll even be using them. and which new adv stigmas should i be going after first? kinda lost lol.

oh and is that change with the DP stigma quest implemented yet? where you trade some tokens of some kind or whatever? i wouldn't mind just doing DP, but everyone who goes wants to do A/S and says i'll die with my gear =/ i made a couple groups but hard to fill out doing low grade runs.

imo, don't bother with Mira. Save your money for manastones to put in your Jotun/Besh/SW/AP(eventually) sets. Focus on getting Flame Spray/GS asap then really your gear stops mattering for pve, those spells do stupid damage even with as little as 1900 MB; you'll be fine in A rank with ~7k hp and 1900-2k MB. Upper/Lower Udas runs are also great for gearing up, making money, and getting exp; I'd run those as often as possible.

The stigma quest NPC is right by where you enter SR.

Just noticed the 10 days of reactivation thing that ends next monday. Reinstalling now and was wondering if Templar has gotten any better since launch?

Because at the time I enjoyed it but it felt a little boring at times when grinding.

Personally, templar and chanter are my least favorite jobs, and the most boring to grind on... But I equipped my templar with a +10 greatsword and it's a lot faster, but unless you have a good weapon it feels like you take forever to kill things. Definitely use a greatsword while grinding though, immensely faster than sword/board.
