Some mobs do, yeah, but not enough to ruin you or even notice much.

In PvE, you can still run around the soft cap safely, as far as I know mobs do not have strike resist.
I socketing my miragents to push me to 510 unbuffed. with crit scroll and winds buff that puts me at 700. and if I get a chanter that pushes me over 750. Figure that good enuff for most stuff atm. Find it a waste to be socketed too much over 440 since after the soft cap its shitty going for crit.

On a side note. Went through like 27 crit +15, 5 atk +5, and 9 atk +4 sockets lol. I only broke teh atk stones twice but holy shit did I break so many crit stones. I got lucky at the end and the body and legs didn't have one break.

Then was so excited to start camping the NM for miragents weapon to only find out I first have to grind 900 mobs QQ. But i guess 900 mobs is nothing compared to the sanctum medal quest. I just don't want to level past 51 atm (too be too high above my friend for when we level these characters again), so I'm gonna have to suicide a lot lol. These drops better be 100% or so help me

The ornaments are about a 75% drop (need 600), but the 300 mob grind in the abyss is 100%. It's still a ton better than the medal grind though.

I love the medal grind tbh, yeah its pretty tedious but I'm making 2-5m per medal atm lol

Ornaments kinda suck, but its better then the medal grind. Think i killed like 75-100 mobs and got 30 or so ornaments. Bad luck i call it

yeah i want to finish it this weekend during double xp/drops. It makes it amazing money.

My friend was cracking up.. since I don't want to hit lv 52. I spent 30 minutes running from Elten Fortress bind point to the bridge and jumping off.

A lot of people do that, but you're the only person I've ever heard of doing it at level 51. Why are you avoiding it?

Well I should of done it at level 50, but I was 1xp tnl w/ full death recoverable xp pushing me like 25% into next level lol.. so when I resubbed a few weeks ago I didn't think about it right away and the first thing I did dinged me. Then finishing up my 4 medals got me 75%+ into my level.

I typically level my characters w/ my friend. And his templar (who I leveled my ranger w/) is not even 1/2 way into 50. So I don't want to get too far ahead of him for when we level these characters again (I want to finish miragents first on my ranger and he wants to finish his SM and my Sorc first). And doing this 900+ mob grind will prolly push me into 53+ by the end of it all if I don't manually remove my xp

I used to do that on my twink all the time. People were mad as hell about twinks and rifting at the time, so by the time I was done I would have a crowd of like 20 people trying to block me, emoting at me, whispering me about what scum I am, etc. Good times.

40 and 50 are the new twink levels.

What should I combine my Miragents bow w/? I was thinking Zapiel Bow, but it doesn't seem worth it since all I would be getting is AP from it. My other thought that was level 50 freebie fabled weapon since that has acc I guess and the Miragent's bow doesn't (though its slightly less AP than Zap bow). I have 100k AP and like 11 crowns to turn in and 200 fossils to turn in for the major AP boxes... so should I use all that stuff and go for a pvp weapon? And, if so, should I be going for level 40 or 50 and gold or blue weapon?

Also, Zap bow is kinda like a colelctors item so it would be a shame to lose it. I need to +10 all my gear to be OP. fuckin level 42 glad in all +10/+15 pvp gear was wrecking me yesterday (though I didn't fully buff myself via scrolls, food, ect... to counter all his strike).

at 55 I would hate to use my Miragent's bow as the lesser combine because its so pretty, but it has godly stats. Prolly only do that if i ever happened to get an eternal weapon

Since you don't need the attack speed or anything you could consider a 30 gold bow. I'm not really sure what your best option is as a ranger, but that was the way to go on chanter at the time.

When is a general good time to go to the core to do AP turn in's? I was thinking at like 3am or during upper fort vulnerability

I tend to head to the core on my server at 3pm EST. There's generally a lull in server activity after the 12 noon Dredge and the early afternoon/evening.

Generic questions: As we just came back we are kind of noobish when it comes to the new Baularea stuff. Specifically the instances. We know what Udas involves for the most part, but Eso and BTHM elude us as to what is required to go in these instances, and in Eso's case, we are kind of wondering if we should bother with it. Can anyone enlighten me about these three instances?

There aren't any pre-requirements to get into the instances anymore aside from forts. You need at least one ground fort for Eso and both for Besh.

Udas is really easy stuff. It's by far the easiest thing in the region. A DPS and healer can clear out the whole place if they pull carefully, add a CC and you're golden. A healer and spellcaster (has to be a spellcaster) can duo almost every boss there and in some cases cleric can just solo them.

Eso is also pretty damn easy and is the most interesting AP instance in the game for most people. It's harder than Udas, but still not that hard. You can low man all of the bosses if you have the right set up. The AP gains can be pretty good and the balic mats drop like mana from heaven so it can be a really nice cash instance. The end boss can seem kind of gimmicky, but it's not too hard when you get some experience in it. The gear that drops isn't great, but has unique skins.

Besh HM is pretty easy now. You'll want a full party to do it. You'll need two healers (either chanter/cleric or cleric x2) and some strong DPS. It's not advisable that you'd tank it on Glad if you're not really familiar with it. Besh is pretty much a boss parade with very little trash to clear out along the ways. A group of decently geared 55's will have no problem clearing out the eternal drop bosses with a bit of practice. In order to get access to all the bosses you'll need to do the lengthy key quest which is easiest to get out of the way on normal mode. Now that Stormwing and Isbariya have been nerfed it's all about understanding what to expect in particular fights. You'll find early on when you're getting familiar with the place that the first boss can be a real sticking point, but after that it's not so bad. If you bring a chanter make sure they understand that 99% of the time they'll be healing and not doing any DPS.

Basically what Tricho said. Udas is really easy, I'm a cleric and I solo every boss except Anurati. Anurati you're able to duo, I know the strat but haven't done it before, but I'm pretty certain it's impossible to solo him. If you need tips to low man udas, I can help you out there. Udas is still a good place to go to because it drops accessories, both golds and eternal. BT only has earrings, and esso has no accessories, so this is the only end-game instance to upgrade your accessory slots in. Nexus drops gold belts, Anurati drops gold earrings and eternal rings, Kingspin drops gold rings, Debilkarim drops gold necklaces and eternal earrings, and treasure boxes in a room near debilkarim drop a gold hat and eternal belts.

Eso is really great AP and I recommend doing that daily if you're going for PVP gear. I used to duo it with cleric/SM combo and it was really easy. I think a cleric and most any other class can duo it if you're careful with pulls, and trio would be golden. Less people = more AP! The drops are terrible stat-wise, I'm pretty sure they were only intended to be unique skins. Don't expect to get any armor that you'd actually use out of this instance, but you will get a lot of AP and it's relatively quick!

BT I haven't run since my static group during 2.1. I don't think much has changed in it besides SW nerf since then, it's pretty easy. Eternals are rare, don't expect to even get one every run, but they're nice when they drop. An experienced group can do a run pretty fast, it's been a while but I believe we were doing our runs in 90 min, maybe even less.

I swear the drop rate in Besh was upped along with the nerf. My legion ran it daily until I got tired of doing it (only chanter).
