Personally I dual box eso as assassin + chanter pretty easily. If I rush the bosses I'm done in under 45 minutes with AP gain generally being around 20-50k total and sometimes a plat medal or two. I do recommend clearing the balaur out for money though, and the last room yields around 6-9k AP each in a duo (depending on whether the AP event is active)

And sorry to nitpick, but hats drop in BT too, not just earrings

Yup, hats too, and the BT ones are better PVE hats than udas, the udas hat is good for a MR build for PVP.

We started running it again when Stormwing was nerfed. Got like 4 weapons, 2 full sets of gear, and some misc. Not so bad. Nothing for me, lol.

Also, this has been nagging me since we came back to the game. I swear the /cheer emote used to be really cheerleader-esque complete with PomPoms. Where did this emote go?

Anyone know how to Solo Esso as a SM? I hear it's doable. Or if we're talking a duo Cleric/Chant + SM, can you give any advice?

I'm more worried about spec and how to deal w/the 2 bosses.

The bosses in Eso are easy (minus the tree) and are fairly straight up. If you're geared and dedicated I think you could duo them easy. I know clerics can solo them too, but I've never tried. There's a ranged boss that does a cursing ability followed by an avoidable AoE and pretty much doesn't do anything else. The final boss is Akuma from Street Fighter. He's pretty straight up except he does this ability you need to jump, glide, and hit an airstream lift or suffer like 12k damage. Can be mitigated by defensive buffs.

The /cheer emote was changed. No more pom-poms. Start doing Udas immediately at 51. In a low group or solo it's ridiculously good exp. I can kill Udas elites faster than elites in KHQ on my cleric. Eso you can start at 50 and it's not a bad idea. Good exp, good drops, good AP.

I know its stupid, but I can't get over the no Pom Pom thing. Did they say anything when they changed it or was it just some Korean Ninja change that NCSoft NA/EU didnt say anything about?

I've spent a lot of time over the last few days writing a program to calculate what the most cost-effective route is for enchanting gear is. Today I ported it into a google doc so it's easier to share, thought maybe others might find it interesting. I think the instructions in the spreadsheet should be pretty straightforward, so I'll just post the link!

Two things I still want to add in if I get time:
1. Enchanting to +15 (currently only calculates to +10)
2. Using different stones for the first enchant (currently uses the same stone all the way to +10)

Additional notes:
* Average number of stones used to get to +10 was calculated by simulation. I wrote a program to simulate enchanting and had it enchant one million items to +10 for each success rate.
* The stone prices I currently have in the spreadsheet are the average prices over the last month gathered from the Aion Exchange ipod app. In the cases where I couldn't get data, I set the prices to a very high number. You should be changing these anyways to the price that you'd be looking to pay for them.

Err so I'm confused. I thought Uldas was the 6 man instance 51+ and Eso was the 1-3 man instance. I see people shout for Uldas and trying to sell l/r to 52 fabled gear. Whats the instance breakdown 51+?

Sounds like me and my SM friend can duo Eso based on what you all are saying.

You can duo both if you're prepared enough, but not the bosses. The Udas bosses in particular are very prone to not getting nasty if you don't hit them with any physical attacks. Both are designed to be full group instances, but Udas is incredibly easy to low man. Eso is designed for a level 50 party to be able to clear it so it's not that big of a deal either. Only Besh and Crucible (sans suicide runs) aren't things you'd low man.

Just woke up and realized I had an error that made it so if you copy the spreadsheet into your own docs, it wouldn't work (was due to permissions). I fixed it now, it shouldn't require you to re-copy it or anything if you already copied it, it should just work now.

Besh HM is actually pretty easy (though time consuming) to low man. We used to run temp/sin, sorc, cleric, and a chantbot (essentially a 3 man) and only had problems if our cleric crashed. If you've got good DPS Virhana is cake, and thats really the only "challenge" to low manning the place.

We've also gotten to 4-5 in crux with sin cleric sm, could probably go higher if we took sorc instead. Never felt like trying lol

Selling L/R was the whole point. Gold DE's usually made a marginal profit, and even 1 weapon guaranteed 30m per person, minimum. Beats udas lr any day.

Yeah, but I've never had that kind of luck in Besh. Or Udas. Low manning Udas for me was always about the volume. You could kill a lot of soft elites for kinah drops and armor to vendor with the occasionally lucky gold or whatever.
