Hope?
- Obama proclaims the stimulus is needed and will ensure unemployment doesn't hit 8.5%. It's now approaching double digits.
- Climate change bill is rushed through... new reports estimates that the bill will cost 2 million jobs
Change?
- Obama continues Bush surveillance program
- Obama continues Bush movies ahead with Iraq and Afghanistan wars
- Obama closes Gitmo... releases a few... puts a few on trial... leaves the rest locked up...
- Obama's "post-racial" politics translates into more of his racist race card-playing friends doing stupid things followed by Obama personally sticking up for them without facts
Transparency?
- Obama appoints dozens of tzars that are so unaccountable nobody knows what they are doing
- Obama fills his administration will old friends, corrupt Chicago politicians
- In all honesty, nobody asks tough questions during press conferences
- Health care and climate change "town halls" are filled with planted questions (Woman who says she was wiped out by her father's condition and now has to deal with her own = Obama groupie who got ticket through the White House, Little girl reading from a paper "Why are they so mean?" - mother is a big Obama fan)
- Health care "town halls" are filled with 1) ordinary people, 2) left-wing SEIU thugs with reserved front row seats and exclusive side door entrances
- Claims government "option" will compete with private insurance, but remarks dating back to 03-04 have Obama on tape admitting that a government option will phase in a single payer system
I understand why people voted for this guy; hope & change, hope & change... but no offense, you guys didn't get what you voted for.
I almost completely agree (except for the lobbying thing - I don't buy any of that)!
The part that I am actually enjoying the most out of all this is when town hall participants reference portions of the bill and all the democrats can say is "not true" or "Obama wouldn't let that happen". When you get beat by the text in your own bill which you probably didn't read, you deserve to have your efforts to socialize medicine quashed.
And simply opposing everything Obama and the Left do is a completely valid and effective strategy. After all this dust settles, people will be able to choose essentially between the conservative stance and the liberal stance as opposed to the middle of the road stance and the liberal stance. There is nothing Republicans have to gain by compromising. In fact, its the Democrats that you guys have to worry about since with majorities in both the house and the senate, you don't even need to blink when a Republican comes out against the bill.
