I go to chicago later this week. I had to walk along route 1 in princeton new jersey for 2 hours to get to the place I was crashing on wednesday, walked about 4 miles (shouldnt have taken 2 hours but a bag full of everything I own shoddily duct taped together on a dolley doesnt carry well). I tried to hitch but no one picks up a black male on the side of the road at midnight, shit's obvious. Public transportation has been less than cooperative. It's a lot of sitting around like a douche, luckily it's summer. Philly was sort of an unfortunate detour on the way to tsu's place.

Don't get me wrong. All things considered it has been a pleasant past week+ and will probably continue to be that way. Yeah I've been sweating like crazy carrying all my shit around in a bag comprised mostly of duct tape and walking like an idiot but I'm pretty lucky I guess, I havent had to sleep outside yet. Now that my trip to chicago got postponed by 2 days that might change but we'll see, it hasn't been bad really.

I understand that being completely free to roam with strong legs and no time constraints is enlightening. If you were wandering samurai wouldn't that make you Ronin?

I hope things are ok hon. So this is an involuntary trip as in the "H" word? There are shelters in most cities although I recall people saying being on streets/couches is better than shelters because of curfews, people stealing shit when you sleep and bugs but they have food and wash facilities. Truck stops are pretty cool too especially if you don't happen to be carrying a vagina or a set of breasts on you anywhere. If you need me to look up some help info just pm me and I'll see what I facilities can find local to you.

Also if you can manage to stay clean enough you can hoof it to wal-mart and grab some of their premade food they leave out and walk around and eat it. Make sure its like 2am though or people will look at you weird.
