When I say "expensive" I don't mean lol1kinah arrows, I mean upgrading your equipment around your class, purchasing the better of the gold equips, and knowing how to socket your equipment. Attack +4 and Phys crit manastones are going to be the stones most on demand in this game and because of the "lulsy" socketing system, it becomes a bitch. I spent over 10mil on Manastones(got about 40) to put into the equip on my 33, and I ended up with less than half of my gear socketed in the end.
Because indemand manastones are not universal across all classes?

Because glads/assassins/chanters wont use physical crit manastones? Because casters wont all use magic boost?

Also we have the most CC in the game, this makes up for us having low HP that and we avoid a lot of attacks.

+10 gear is a luxary but when you have your weapon +10 and all your gear with manastones in it you have to keep going somewhere.

I know other classes that +10 their gear and not just rangers, I don't see it being much different then other classes TBH

    What?

    Hi2u Spiritmaster.

    Yes, totally agree.
    1) I will use Physical Crit Hit manastones till soft cap then +attack
    2) Is ranger the only class using crit manastones? I would think assassin/gladiator/chanter would use them too.
    3) Spiritmaster may have a little more CC but ranger is up there along with sorcerer
    4) I just don't agree that rangers NEED +10 armor when other classes don't just to be competitive. If you can kite effectively you can have low HP and be fine it seems to me that needing +10 on your gear to stand a chance says your playstyle is lacking or your being outgeared/skilled/played ect

Actually, that's exactly why ranger will be more expensive. Stones will be more in demand because multiple classes need them, and jobs like ranger need more stones to preform than say sin.

Not all mages use magic boost stones, clerics use hp/magic resit, and SMs primarily stack HP.

Since when does ranger have the most cc? Ever looked at SM or Sorc skills?

does socketing manastones get harder at high levels? because before I heard people complaining about how you lose all socketed stones when you fail, I didn't even know failing was possible.

also, compared to lineage 2 this game's enchant system is pretty sane. in that game, failing an enchant would reset it to +0 at best or, much more likely, destroy it.

Ranger is pretty linear compared to templar. I plan on having 3 sets of gear manastoned for shield block/hp, crit/att, and finally abyss gear. Although that may change depending on how efficient we become at the instances.

Yes, it does. Socketing higher level gear becomes harder (and more expensive) because there are usually more slots on the armor, giving you more chances to fail and lose more stones.

You can also blow up gear when enchanting too, I've seen a friend lose a gold weapon when trying to enchant it. Not very common (usually when you fail you simply lose a level of enchantment) but it's possible.

wtf you can completely lose the item on a failed enchant? I've gone down a +level a couple times but never had that happen. Manastones are gonna be expensive as hell for a couple months I think at release.

That's word of mouth, so take it with a grain of salt. (You can see someone fail an enchant, but not what they lost)

Powerwiki doesn't mention anything about it, but I wouldn't be surprised if it checks out.

Quick question. I have seen some "Yes" and some "No" on this: Did they patch Jump-Shot yet?

Well that's too bad. Skill moves are fun, but I can see why they removed it.
