You're right about that though, i did not know that the republicans would go full on crazy, though i had no hopes otherwise.

CONGRESS=FAGS
Tyven, this is basically all your doing.
or undoing.
Whatever.
Why did they refer to Pres. Bush as Mr. Bush? I assume its the same reason. It's disrespectful. The reason they did it to Bush was because, in essence, it's a mind game. You take away the title and he seems like a normal Joe, not the most important man in America. It's a way of diverting power.
Nah, "Mr. [President's last name]" is pretty common in journalism. It goes in line with why Mr. President is used as well; the Founders didn't want a President to be equated to a king or royalty, so they use Mr. to keep it less formal. Of course the President has a ton of power, but w/e. I don't see Mr. Obama or even Mr. Bush as disrespectful.
With regards to the health care thing, just because the President doesn't want to do it publicly doesn't mean he's against the idea of government-run health insurance. Go here to contact your Congressman and let them know that you're for the public option. I sent mine an email yesterday, because really they only vote in Congress to conform to their constituencies more than along their party lines.

My Congressman is a social moderate and fiscal conservative, but he is for Obama's health care plan because he represents Camden NJ and you have to know my district is mostly uninsured
