For the topic owner:
please replace the "post yur highest dmg" by "Post which effect of aftermath varies with tp ? adds some parsed numbers if possible"
example: Cata's drain % varies with tp from 30% @ 100TP up to 80% @ 300TP ? (on top of haste duration varying with tp)
Geirskogul's ShockSpikes Stun proc rate or dmg varies with tp ?
Sorry but until tested and proved otherwise I'm calling BS on these points.
Shock Spikes' Stun activation is notoriously weakened for players. RDM version procs 5% of the time at best on EP mobs. It's very unlikely that that percentage is correct.
Also, 10% proc rate on double damage? After dozens of Salvage (and pretty much every event in the game, but in Arra/Bhaf Remnants it's more apparent) runs with relic wielders it's pretty much obvious it's more like 5% or less... I'll be glad to eat my own words if I can see actual tests.
Notice How I didn't ask for any information on Spharai smart ass?
I asked for this thread because I get mixed answers about relics all the time and want to hear from actual relic holders.
Someone told me mandau poison is 30/tic while these ppl are saying its 10/tic.
Alla has apocalypse posted as having its blind as potent as flash while an actual apoc holder on this thread is stating otherwise.
Some threads have claustrum as 5/tic refresh and people are telling me the aftermath is 8/tic refresh.
Some are saying the shock spikes are 5% on gungnir effect and some say its 20%.
I read wiki 4 years ago, I know there was threads for relics 4 years ago.
There is always mixed answers and relics do get changed over time.
I am now just figuring out how badass ragnorok is since I finally seen one on my server.
Also the aegis did used to have what seemed like a 90% proc rate but it did get nerfed and someone else pointed that out on this thread also. That was around the same time they added the aftermath icon on the relic weapons.
I do not own an aegis but 4 people who had an aegis were saying the proc rate seemed to get nerfed as well as a 5th aegis owner who posted on this thread.
thanks for the info, I like the mandau info and the club info.
I didn't know the clubs aftermath effect gave acc and didn't know it was MND mod, thats hot.
The horn is still currently the only weapon without a hidden effect. even the shield has a hidden effect so thats too badbut the horn is powerful anyways.
The guy with ragnorok on my server said not only does it increase crit hit rate, but it increases the crit hit damage cap as well. He seemed to SPAM critical hits, I mean spam. He was a female elvaan I think, I forgot his damn name too crap. Was the only ragnorok I ever seen and made me fall in love with Greatsword DRK all over again.
We have alot of apocalypse on our server already so it was nice to see a DRK with a greatsword instead of jumping the bandwagon.
As for Aegis shield, I swear there is probably more lvl75 plds with aegis then lvl75 plds without aegis these days lol. Amazing shield but I wanna hear more about the rarer weapons like Club,Guttler, Ragnorok, and the Relic gun too.
Was also wondering if anyone had a claustrum (lol) and if the dispel effect can dispel stuff that normally cannot be dispelled. Like Soulflayer ice spikes or Magma Hoplon.
When people mention how close X weapon is compared to its relic counterpart, Ragnarok is genuinely one of the weakest boosts overall, by far. Naglering and Algol both are only 1 less base dmg, with Naglering having a 20 ATT boost over it and both of these have an easy 6Hit build. (GL getting realisitic 6hit on Rag). Not going to scoff at the 16 ACC advantage that Rag has, but there is a good reason this weapon is known as a gigantic waste of currency.
For diehard GS DRK's I'm sure they enjoy it, but thats one of the most expensive side/down grades in the game.
There's at least 2 GSD on fenrir, one I've been able to parse a few times. Unfortunately as Drace was saying it's not a very big boost compared to other GSD. The nature of the game has changed a bit and does not favor GSD as it once did. 6-hit builds are difficult (but more managable now), and other GSDs are very close in function.
I can dispel two rumors though. GSD effect does not increase the crit damage cap. Others have tried this, and it still constrains to the normal damage calculations. And from the few parses I've done, the GSD parsed about ~12% crit rate over me. It's noticable but not as impressive as one would think. I would imagine the crit+ falls between 10-15% increase~
Was he spamming scourge tho? I keep hearing rumor that the critical hit rate after scourge is about 50-75%. If he was spamming spinning slash, then it is more understandable.
For Ragnarok, it is all about that critical hit rate after Scourge, if it is 50-75%, it is an amazing weapon, if it is like kirschy said 12-15%, then it is a sidegrade.
I have not had time to fully test but I am seeing a much bigger impact of mob level vs shield skill then I expected in order to hit the block rate cap even with Aegis' hidden effect of the higher block rate compared to what I had discussed with other Aegis PLDs in the past. I need to narrow it down more but the block rate seems more in line with a size 3 shield for skill to cap rather then a size 2 like FFXIclopedia has listed when fighting VT or higher mobs. Once work lightens up some I hope to do some parsing of different mobs to try to prove or disprove this.
Oh, and I also forgot to quote this gem from otherwiki's Randgrith discussion for you:
a friend of mine who has Mjollnir reports that it occasionally "makes everyone around" shine when he uses Randgrith; however he can't figure out what it is.
Since he usually uses Hexa Strike (Generally, he only uses the Relic WS when someone wants to see it), and the occurence seems rare, we will probably not know what it is for a long time.
We're thinking it might be a mini-benediction, as the Club itself has no Healing properties (A little odd for WHM Only Relic, don't you think?), and the Excalibur's Knights of Round WS occasionally adds an Invincible effect.
I've also hypothesized it restores MP, similar to Moonlight and the effect on the Mj itself which occasionally give the user MP when it hits (He reports it usually being 13-25MP)
Claustrum:
8mp/tick for 20 sec (100TP), 40 sec (200TP), 60 sec (300TP)
Not sure of other TP effects if any.
On the dispel:
Dispel rate is pretty noticeable on Campaign mobs - Can strip a buff off a mob usually within 5 swings after it comes on, 3 consecutive dispels are not uncommon either, can't give exact rate though. (50% feels like a good ballpark number)
Dispel rate is very rare on equal/higher level mobs.
Good possibility the Dispel works on normally undispelable buffs. E.g. Marid's Barrier Tusk (Confirmed on ZNM's Marid, says Protect was dispeled). But I never had the chance to melee any other HNM so I can't tell, but the mob level is so high that it might not kick in at all!
Yea was Scourge spam. It was dynamis/ein type situations though, so I doubt the AM was on full time. It wasn't a merit type scenario, so I guess take it for what it's worth~
Catastrophe - Haste+10%
Kaiten - sTP+7
Final Heaven - Subtle Blow +10
Knights of Round - 10Hp/tic
Metatron Torment - -12.5% Defense
It would seem likely that the Crit increase is around 10% from the WS, and around 10% on the weapon. It would explain the parses fairly well. There's just no way the 50%-75% thing can be right from all the times I've seen it in action~ Would be cool if a Rag owner would do some official testing for us =p.
I'm sorry but how did my question make me a smart ass? I thought I was actually being pretty polite, and even said forgive me if I'm wrong. I must have read your OP wrong as assumed you were saying you own apoc bravura and yoichi, not that you just have information gathered on them already. I was just curious as to why you had posted those three relics and put no info from Spharai if that's the relic you own, was mearly a simple question, why so defensive?
Ive had aegis for um, shit I dont even remember, a while now:
Aegis doesnt add any block proc rate ++%. Its like a koenig shield, it just reduces more damage due to the defense rating, and has some nice magic damage down on it. Thats it.
As for blow rate %s, I havent noticed a drastric drop rate, but Ill keep an eye on it. Probably just bad luck.
Nyzul Birds as /RDM main healing
Spoiler: show
Easiest to see is the crits section, since it shows the biggest jump with a 200 damage gap. 6 2x crit procs. Approximately 53 non 2x crit procs. 6/59 = 10.1%.
As for Shock Spikes stun proc, as I said, it was observed. Tonight in Dynamis I tried it several times, and it proc'd a Stun (where I got the message that the mob was no longer stunned) pretty reliably. I only had to Super Jump once because I hit <200hp. The main issue isn't the Stun rate, its the fact that it won't stay up for any real length of time.
Hungry yet?
Aegis used to have about 75% block rate, but recently its deduced, I thought it was just my bad luck, but looks like its the same for everyone, maybe this is another thing SE messed up and didnt intend to (like the apoc drain problem with recent update), hopefully if enough of us complains or use whatever method to contact SE about this, they might fix it, as I dont ever remember in any update note that they were intentionally nerfing aegis, it is a relic after all, should perform a lot better then a normal koenig shield
