I really want to see this movie, but I just feel like it's nothing out of this world as they make it seem. We've seen CGI this good already in movies and even video games. Maybe my opinion will change after seeing it, but so far this looks like everything else that's been made.

Avatar starts with Jake in hyper sleep, no credits. He quickly gets into his Avatar goes into the jungle where he is nearly shot by the Navi chick, who doesn’t kill him, because there is a sign. Jake then starts his training, meets the natives, trains their ways, becomes one of them, disobeys the orders of the captain who wants to destroy the sacred tree of the Navis. He does, it looks like Vietnam. Jake is in prison, he flees, during the escape Grace is shot and dies. Jake regains the trust of the natives, helps them win the war. Michelle Rodriguez dies in her chopper, than the captain and Jake fight, the Navi chick shoots the captain with two arrows. The military, the company are banned from Pandora. Jakes soul is transposed into his Navi body, so he can live with the natives and his mate, the Navi chick. The final shot is Jake opening his eyes as a true Navi, then it cuts to the title: Avatar, credits roll…

I'll still go see this just to see if this true and isn't some troll attempt.

That was funny. I waswondering about the odd product placement, then it went to commercial and the Ava trailer aired showing that the tall guy who brought up the tix on the show is in the movie.


Personally, I feel like the movie is ruined for me because I saw Terra when it came out a couple months ago and it seems to have the exact same plot as Ava. Also, Ava toys are in kids fast food packs, so it's going to be censored for that audience for sure.

Most legitimate critics approve in varying shades; rottentomatoes score is surprisingly high for a movie of this genre / pace. I think it will be pretty solid.

Saw it Last night.

I can honestly say, it's a movie that I would willingly pay the £13.50 for the IMAX 3D seat again.

Very impressed, nicely paced, well acted and ok sorty was a bit obvious, but all in all it's a great entertainment experience and I would rate this in my top 3 moves.

Predictable =/= bad. Something can be simple and good if done properly.
