I will however tip double if he HQs.
I hear ya, I'm not going to debate shouter/crafter/tip/hq thing it's been beaten to a pulp in other topics and we all have our personal preferences. But if I was unclear I mean in this situation I use it:

XxSephirothxX: /sh LC 100+ can I have it, tip, /tell me please

Me: Hey, what are you crafting, how many synths do you have, how much is the tip?

XxSephirothxX: Dusk gloves, just 1 for my new WAR, 10k tip

Me: How about if it HQ's we sell, split 50/50, and I supply you with an NQ?

XxSephirothxX: Nah man, 10k tip either way, OMG WHAT IF IT HQ'D THAT'D BE AWESOME, I hope it hq's!

Me: K, /equips NQ ring, pops synth, trades gloves, collects 10k

A 10K tip for dusk? Talk about cheapo D:

My tipping equation I roughly work out in my head is 5K*(level/10) + 5K for each subcraft, IE a lv 100 craft with 2 sub crafts I tip 60K and 120K for HQ.

10k if they provide the mats is beauty on a synth that normally loses as much money as I'll assume dusk gloves do!

And this is why you craft in your Mog House. Just tell them that the furnishing only works when inside your mog house^^

You know, I believe in the randomness of this game. I speak out against not just directional crafting, but just about any and all ways of 'manipulating' skillups or hqs. But I will tell you this.......

3 levels under the cap for ori ingots I wore shades and apron for every synth trying to cap out. For the first 2 levels things went as usual, between 30 and 40 synths per level. I got tired of the breaks after that and started using my nq ring along with shades/apron and it took me 103 synths to cap out (with 11 breaks). I've never had a streak like that and have a main and 4 mules capped on crafting. I nearly tossed it if it wasn't for the dozen hq ori rings I would be making if I did.

After I trade in today's GP fish I'll be about 15K GP away from my fishing apron, then I'll swap to WW guild and bumrush the ring, probably followed by mitts and apron.

Dunno if I want anything else WW wise, maybe moghancement though don't really need it til I'm trying to do staves eh?

The ring is extremely useful in cooking, many high level foods require low level ingredients that are too easily Hqed. Carbonara for example requires stone cheese and buffalo jerky, both of which HQ into worthless items.

Other crafts have uses for them similar to this. One example that comes to mind is Errant Cape in clothcraft, you do not want to HQ the Peace Cape synth needed before the Errant synth.

The only other real use I can see is for items that do not have an HQ anyway. Clothcraft is notorious for the amount of synths that have no HQs such as threads and cloths (there is absolutely no way to get any results different from an NQ thread or cloth synth in quality or quantity). 1% is a small amount but you might as well use it.
