1) I'm in a process installing FF11 on my laptop; which .dat is the one that stores all the macros?

2) Can one learn blu magic even the monster does ws on people not in alliance/pt? (No, I'm not talking about dynamis/einherjar stuffs), e.g. I'm trying to learn Pinecomb Bomb, but my PL (which is not in my pt/alliance) keeps stealing hate and those monsters would do Pinecomb Bomb on PL instead.

2)Assuming you are the one that claimed the mob and kept it red, yes you should be able to learn it. If you are still unable to learn it then just get the PL to help you get it after your exp party by being in your party ;x

C:\Program Files\PlayOnline\SquareEnix\FINAL FANTASY XI\USER\<random string>\mcr*.dat

the <random string> is generated by the system. if you run AltanaCubby you can easily check which character is which by looking at your inventory. (most people will remember what is in their inventory and what is in their mules)

Before I ask at the Windower forums any DRG have a SpellCast that swaps to TP gear after healing breath goes off? Atm the only ones I can find go:

Trigger set
Breath set

And just stays there. Can't find a good way to make sure HB has gone off(if there is one) before changing back to TP gear. I think I am using Xanthe's XML btw so searching for that won't help.

Add to that skadi's legs / feet and enkidus legs. (Obviously scouts legs / feet nq/hq if they ever become possible.)

Rng has lots of options to add stp, str, agi, racc, -enm and ratt in these 2 slots.

I did it a few times like this: PLD ( or nin) RDM WHM rest BLM, RDM or DDs . basically PLD hold for the first 40% while dds do some light dmg. at 60% rdm CS stun, and the BLM and or second rdm nuke/CS nuke. one tier IV does 10% if I recall its very easy like this.

I've always understood them to give a slightly better chance at either Innate skills on pankration pets or better feral skills on the plate. It is a minimal increase though.

Thank you, this sounds much easier to put together than finding 3-4 summoners.

Everyone has SMN75. RDM and BLM can duo easily, as can RDM and NIN or RDM and THF. If you don't have any of those jobs and somehow don't know any ABed smns, RDM or WHM + BRD + any DD can kill it as well.

I think you can also Shift-Ctrl-Alt-B at character selection screen on your existing computer to backup your macros etc, then Shift-Ctrl-Alt-R on the laptop to download those settings to the new installation.

Might want to check that option out on Wiki since it could be a slightly easier solution. Bear in mind I haven't tried it myself to move macros between machines.

Don't forget that BSTs can do Fenrir too, and many people who went to the trouble of getting BST to 75 take weird pleasure in using it to do such things (myself included, and I've also noticed this about 75 PUPs). I've done it once with a mixed group of BSTs and SMNs, and it was very easy. This was even before Snarl.

None of the 4 people I still talk to in-game has SMN, and my only 75 on my current character is Monk. That being said, thanks for the last suggestion; that'd be even easier to set up.

Not that Thorny didn't cover it already, but as long as you have a competent tank, you can take anything to Fenrir. Eclipse Bite sucks, but he's pretty cakey otherwise.

My question:
Is anyone in USA capable of loading the NA, or EU FFXIV official web sites?
I got a confirmation from someone in Germany that they can get the EU site to load but I cannot get either one for at least 30 minutes now.

Getting [The page cannot be found] for EU and [Error the requested url could not be retrieved] for NA.
