Does only the targeted mob of an AoE ws resonate with its skillchain properties?
Wondering if you perform two AoE weaponskills will it skillchain just the targeted mob or all the ones that get hit?

yes and no. you have to be engaged but not necessarilly to the mob attacking you. The best way to level parry is to aggro 4-5 mobs of suitable level, instead of equiping parry gear. Sub blu for cocoon, stack def gear/PDT gear and def food, wear an earth staff, phalanx II on, and engage a mob further away, while facing the other 4-5 mobs. It's a guarranteed huge skill up rate, like 5 full skills/hour especially if you do it with chigoes/mandy type ( you are being hundered fisted basically...). The same works with guarding but you cannot use earth staff, so can't have so many mobs aggroed and its only like 2 skill/hour.
Thanks for the tips, but I'm not actually looking to skill up parry. Just for something to switch into for pulling after casting threnody (or elegy when i get it).
hmm err it could go to a decimal place like store tp.

~30 FPS = 1 Frame/2 Delay. Decimal rounding would be nearli impossibly to tell. In practicality there are multiple animations for an attack round and there are slight inconsistancies when comparing one attack round to another. When taking 10-20 attack rounds together and getting an average, you get a much more precise reading which works for making general statements. (Such as Hasso being 10% Haste, Magic Cap on haste being applied to Attack speed as well as recast speed, Job Ability haste cap, etc...)
That being said, when I did slow testing, with various MND skills, I did notice "tiers." The most notable "tier" was that Slow II /w 1 and 2 merits showed 0 difference in attack speed on Bees in gustaberg, but Slow II /w 4 merits showed a signifigant increase. (This made me believe that additional merits in Slow II had no effect when capped potency. When I tested with 4 merits, I was shown this was wrong. Slow II /w 5 merits shows a signifigant increase over 4.)
I see two easily possible scenarios.
#1) Delay works in tiers of 5 or 10 delay. Example: If a mob has a base delay of 360 and is given a slow of exactly 22%, 360*1.22 = 439.2 SE would floor this to 435 or 430. This kind of rounding would explain why slow appears to work in miniture tiers. I chose 5 or 10 delay at random, I've done no work to deduce possible truncating that could occur.
#2) SE decides everything server side w/o truncation, and sends the information of animation rate truncated. Anyone who knows what kind of information SE sends about attack animation might be able to explain/debunk this~
These results are up to various interpretations. The two major facts to keep in mind are this: Slow II at all potencies has the appropriate effect on recast in PvP settings. We don't slow a mob to reduce it's spell recast, we slow a mob to help with Utsusemi casting/recast, or bring down the overall hits a target mob will have during the fight(effectively a form of damage mitigation.)~
Hope that gives you some insight to your question~
What level of COR should I put together a full quick-draw set and be carrying it with me? 51 I figured would be earliest possible opportunity.
thats because bcnm areas are usually a separate (hidden) "reigon". you cant invite people to a party when you are in one and they are not. just zone into any of them and you can tell this.
Kohlrouladen, one of the newer foods seems strangely like Pot-au-feu with regards to possibly having Ratt and Racc... has anyone confirmed or debunked this?
For a Red Mage idling, what would provide better magic reduction: Dalmatica with Magic Defense Bonus +5, or Morrigan's Robe with Int+8 (and the additional HP+50 over Dalmatica)?
Quick question: Why is it a monumental crime to necro-bump old threads? I've never done it, but I've seen a few pop up recently and everyone goes crazy like someone's been murdered. Just wondering.
Usually because the fact that a thread died means there was nothing new to contribute to said topic. While I personally think there are times that a necro bump is ok (and it's equally discouraged to start a new thread on the same topic usually...), most the time it accomplishes nothing.
should a decently geared rng be able to solo a mammet in Uninvited Guests?
