I have a difficult time believing that Soboro doesn't beat polearm until at least the 60's when you do tier2 colibri. The base damage is still beastly in the 50's.

You also have absolutely no good WSes until 60, certainly nothing that compares to Penta Thrust, never mind the 25% damage bonus from fighting birds.

Been about a year and a half since I've actually used my DRG, been almost two years since I used it on a regular basis. Is there any practical use for Aurum Cuisses for DRG? Has Assault Jerkin been put to pasture? In absence of Homam pants, what is a good alternative?

He wanted to know how often his shield will proc while tanking when using a size 3 shield with 305 shield skill he is hume if that matters at all i'm not a paladin myself so was unable to help him.

Depends on what he is fighting. Caps at 65%, and I am sure it floors at some point (although not sure what %).

Theres a good chance he will kill you if you are just planning to run from him in your idle set. If you have appropriate MDT and PDT sets you should be fine, otherwise sub /nin.

It's been awhile since we've had him, but iirc he always drew in to the same spot (somewhere near the middle of the map) so if you just run in opposite directions each draw in you should be able to avoid quite a bit of damage.

Ok, I couldve swore that I read somewhere that using a joy-toy is better than duel wielding the joy-toy with anything else due to the added delay. Is this true? Would this also be true for things like Merc Kris or Ridill? I have been having an ongoing argument with someone who always duel wields the joy toy (as RDM)...b/c i always said he is just slowing his TP gain by using an off hand weapon. Am I completely wrong?

No, because you don't "receive" the damage (Player takes 100 damage, etc.).

Aurum Cuisses are very good WS legs. AJ is the bottom tier of body pieces, but if you don't have anything else it's not that bad. There are a lot of alternative to Homam pants, but none of them are really close besides Barbarosa legs.

The dual wield ability at an absolute minimum gives a 10% decrease in combined delay. So it really depends on what you are using the the other hand. Joy/Justice for example would definitely be better.

I just originally assumed, balance out elemental skill with INT, then max out INT when possible.

The Guy in your LS is dead wrong. While a more INT-centric build can be beneficial for Helixes b/c they have such low base damage compared to other nukes, There isn't a chance in hell that 10 INT is going to do more for you than +15% total damage and 20-30 m.acc.

The way he made it sound was that Helixes are not "nukes", but more like BLM de-buff such as Choke. Is it safe to assume he's dead wrong since he also didn't bother using Obis for Helixes?

Yes. If you have the obi for the Helix you should be using it as well.

Will 18StoreTP in gear (both for TP and WS) with capped StoreTP merits get me a 5-hit build on an Engetsuto (480Delay)?

If not a true 5-hit, how many hits on penta do I need to land, and if it's over a true 5-hit, how much STP can I lose for WS?
