Never done it but I agree the ice shot would probably break the bind.
Apologies if your sig tells me you're a RDM or something, I have them turned off so I can browse in work. Cap your natural skill, don't ever merit it and if you're a WHM wear Blessed (+1) pants over clerics... Not only has everyone done the maths, a very long time ago I went out and tested the effect of MND and healing magic on cures. Cure potency > MND - then worry about haste/-ENM/mp and maybe healing magic. If you are a WHM, then healer's mitts +1 actually will give you the highest cure V but the difference is tiny and you lose haste etc.
Dunno if it has been proven either way but there is some speculation that healing magic might affect your ability to remove Doom. If anyone knows of any testing on this, yell.
Furen's FFXI Cure Calculator
For any one who isn't WHM it is pretty useless.
For WHM it is only really useful on Cure 5, how useful depends on the rest of your gear etc.
For COR, you're probably better off single wielding Joyeuse as you're just trying to get TP for Ranged WS, but for most jobs the reason it's not main-handed is because it's fairly low damage and restricts the wielder to using sword Weapon Skills. But if your only concern is TP gain (dnc maybe?), then yes you will gain TP faster only using joyeuse rather than offhanding it with a single hit weapon.
There are only 3 occassions on which it is productive to dualwield joyeuse. Pld/nin using joyeuse/justice, when you aren't required to tank at all and are purely focused on damage. Rdm/nin with Blau/Joyeuse or Joyeuse/Justice and I believe Dnc can make some use of it as an offhand weapon.
Cor should never be dual wielding because if they are subbing nin its so they can pull and no other reason. Brd is better off with dagger, Drg is a no brainer and War should be using great axe.
BUT WHAT ABOUT RIDILL!
Still I might as well ask it here...
I'm getting DRG to 75, Currently 25 right now but is it worth going past 33 without a PCC? Will I be consirded gimp without one for a while and if not what should i wear as a neck piece until i get a PCC
While it is a pretty large improvement I don't think its pcc or gimp. I woudln't stop leveling a job because I didn't have one, but you should still actively work towards getting one as you're going to want it eventually
Dynamis is probably the only event where I would really insist on pushing cor to backline support (if we bring one at all) unless they are really well geared. Just due to the fact that that its too long to keep up the intensity of einherjar and deaths are common but rarely its due to a lack of mp, its some twisted logic but I'd rather take another sam or war over a cor.
As for ein we've had a better time having everyone sub /sam or /war, slimes and dragons can occassionally make for a harder time but slimes I've only ever seen in w1 which is never challenging and dragons we have blms and drks focus on stunning every tp move (keeping them silenced obviously increases chance of body slam so things could get messy fast).
I do agree though, on the odd occurance where there is good cause for /nin dual wielding an M kris would best.

What you're asking has no answer because its an opinion. What you feel comfortable levelling in is up to you and you won't get an opinion representative of the wider ffxi community by asking here. I personally wouldn't want to level without it but I wouldn't call someone else gimp for not taking the time to farm/camp it as there are alternatives at higher levels.
I didnt really feel comfortable leveling past it since I can pretty much wear it up to 75 and not worry about having anything else, but then again I have the pop item for an Ohat and I can marco that in for WSs, but still +20 Acc sounds sexy, I guess its time to Fish/camp Argus. You wanna come help me :3?
