I checked out the Whm thread on Mystic Boon for an answer but it's just one giant flame war. So I'll ask you guys for a clear cut answer.
Mystic Boon: 100% whore mods because of instant Acc cap or still include Acc gear?
Thorny can you do Faith with MNK tank without a BRD? Like MNK RDM WHM or MNK RDM COR/WHM?
No, just no. Fealty is situationally amazing, and very much worth unlocking, but it's far from being better than Guardian. Allowing your melee to go crazier so the fight goes faster is by far more useful than immunity to an enfeeble (which you'll have removed from you within 2 seconds if your support is competent; and no, Fealty doesn't protect against Amnesia).Originally Posted by SathFenrir
Guardian is also tremendously helpful after hate resets, or when you aren't at the same level of hate as your cotank (read: you're behind for whatever reason) and you really need to get hate back. Sentinel on its own will do it as well, but Guardian just lets you go a step further and keep the mob focused on you.
If you're using PLD to lowman Byakko for money, you're not doing it as efficiently as possible, as NIN is a much better tank for it (not to mention Fealty is rather useless against Byakko, seeing as how you should be stunning it after Diaga III anyway while you get shadows back up). Guardian is rather lolworthy in a 6man situation like Byakko, I agree, but so is Fealty.Originally Posted by SathFenrir
Omega has two hate reset moves (thus favouring Guardian over Fealty) and three attacks that inflict nasty ailments (Floodlight being the only one that inflicts 2 at the same time) that can be removed instantly, as the WHM can start casting Paralyna/Silena as Omega readies them.
SCNM, I'm not going there cause my experience is rather limited (I recall having some hate issues though), and I'm gonna use the "shit is situational" card for ZNM.
tl,dr; Fealty is a godsend, it really is. However, Guardian is better and you should only consider dropping some Chiv merits to unlock/level Fealty, not Guardian.
Faith solo tanked without a BRD would be a bitch.
How are you dealing with Breakga?MNK RDM COR/WHM?
A while back, someone posted in a thread a really long write-up of some dude explaining why he quit. The thread was about something else and I don't know who wrote it, so it would pretty much be impossible for me to find. If someone who knows what I'm talking about could point me in the right direction I would appreciate it.
I wouldn't try it without a BRD. I've always done it with 2 BRDs, and it's still not 100% fool proof. It would be doable with some luck indeed, but remember shit always goes wrong when you don't want it to.
I plan on leveling PLD as my next job to 75.
How useful is BLU as a sub? I've heard it being used for supertanking but to me I would think /RDM would work for that too.
I ask because I'm kind of tired leveling it (26 at the moment) but if there is a situation it would be useful to have as a support job for PLD I'll get it out of the way regardless how I feel.
Ideally you have a rdm with phalanx2 or a sch with phalanxga in said supertank situation, so /rdm is worse than /war IMO. /blu is without a doubt the best in said situation...
...that being said, it's not like supertanking with a pld/blu is a commonly used strategy on anything, so only level it if you really want to be complete that one time you get a chance.
I've seen a few numbers thrown around but, is there a good database of base INT of most endgame mobs anywhere?
It's immune to slow and elegy. If your MNK is competent, you only need 3-4 people, but as others have said I really wouldn't recommend doing it without a BRD. Also worth mentioning.. 2 RDMs then SMNs in all remaining spots will about always beat a single mnk tank strat with the same # of people in both killspeed and reliability.

So what about beastmen "kings" and HNMs? Bahamut ("The Wyrmking Descends") is reported to have 115 INT (from Studio Gobli, if you can actually find the documentation). (Bahamut is sentient, right? Check.) Also Jormungand is reported to have 120 INT (also from Studio Gobli). (Perhaps the example of Jormungand motivated the 120 INT figure?) Other than that, I have no other information.
Virtue weapons. I know it and a da proc can happen on the same attack for 3 attacks,
Attack > stone + da
but someone is claiming that you can
Attack > stone + DA > Stone (off the da) for 4 attacks
Now, I use faith baghs pretty regularly and have NEVER seen 4 attacks on 1 first. Whats the deal?
