I prefer Suppa, but you can make a strong argument for either. 5 Shield skill + 2 VIT is the best damage mitigation earring in the game for PLD when shadows are down, but if I'm not mistaken, 4.5 acc / 5 attack is the single best possible TP earring for a Paladin with a multi-hit weapon.
What are some good Ranger foods?
I'm at Lv.51 at the moment and just picked up some pot-au-feu. Good?
I just finished it Monday (SMN and DRG were my last two). I didn't really notice him hitting harder than usual. For some reason I only have a screenshot of his very last hit to me, which was 235, on DRG. This was using pizza. I suspect I was really taking a screenshot of me intimidating his wyvern, which amused me.
Update on the RDM v NIN sub Omega issue:
1. I tried it again, and indeed, my nukes did a max of 500ish damage. Previous runs showed a max of 700ish damage. Note that the only difference was the change in sub from RDM to NIN. Is this reasonable?
2. Last run I had a difficult time with resist, which tend to range from 50DMG nukes to 110ish damage nukes. This was using my resist set which consisted of:
HQ Elemental Staff
Bugard+1
Phantom Tathlum
Moogle Hat (INT+4 Magic ACC+2 MAB+2)
Elemental Torque
Phantom Earring
Moldy Earring
AF+1 Body
Genie Gages
Snow Ring
Omega Ring
Gleeman Cape
Penitents Rope
Mahats Slops
Goliard Feet
Edit: A RDM friend was asking what enfeebling set he should aim for on Omega (He doesn't have relic), and since I'm not an RDM I can't tell him exactly what is best. Any ideas?
Does Imperial Ring (Assault: Haste+4%) work in Nyzul? I think it does, but want to make sure...does it work in salvage as well?
I'm 99.9% certain that all Assault items work in Salvage and Nyzul.
I never noticed anything like that, tbh. However, drk maat is the one I found hardest at 66 (and so have most other people I've spoke to), so I think it's just that one fight/job being a bitch, and nothing else. However, I've lost almost all my screenshots of Maat fights due to my old PC breaking down, it won't even start up anymore, so this is just memory speaking. And yeah, my win was pretty epic, his Maat's Bash being eaten by blink and parrying three or so of his attacks in a row... fun times.
Grats on beating him though!
Thanks lol. My Guillos insisted on doing terrible DMG, fortunately I was able to land sleep and rebuff myself at 50%. Made the last bit of it alot easier. Just happy to have them done.
Looking at my SSes, THF was my 12th and he'd hit avg of 200. RNG was my 13th.. he would melee hit me for arround 230ish. SAM 14th 300 or so, with highs of 400. and DRK was consistantly 400+. All being 66.
Do *all* Assault: Do something awesome latents work in Salvage, or just the ToAU Rings?
yup.
Every "Assault:" item work in instanced ToA area (Assault, nyzul, Salvage, Ashu Talif, mission in one of the previously mentioned area).
Salvage:, Besieged:, only work in their respective area.
Difference is between RDM and NIN is 2 int. That's it.Update on the RDM v NIN sub Omega issue:

It's just poorly eyeballed result, or there was factor you didn't consider (day, multiple nuke nerf, u.pendant, which phase of the fight)
MAB bonus as well no?
- Day: Light/Dark Day (Should have no effect)
- Gear was the same for both, and for the purposes of comparison, both used Elemental Torque
- The nuke was during 4legs mode, and resists tended to occur quite frequently and subsequently (For instance, I had two nukes that were 1XX followed by a 5X nuke).
The reason I went with high instead of average was because I cannot parse and because resists seem to occur even during with Focalization. Most of my nukes produced 450ish DMG if I had to guess my average. However, using the 700 DMG and 500DMG max value, would it be reasonable to suggest that MAB and the three INT is enough to account for the difference in damage?
Assuming no MAB gear out of laziness, either you're underestimating your /NIN nukes or overestimating your RDM ones by about 65 damage (or some combination of the two, most likely). Other than that yeah, no MAB -> MAB II + 3 INT would cover it.
Has anyone ever had Vampyr Dogs pop as an actual wave in a tier 3 Einherjar, as opposed to the Vampyr boss splitting into them after 2 minutes?
