How much fire resist should I aim for for KS99 Wyrm?
I think my 360's disc reading ability is giving out, but it only seems to affect FFXI. I installed the game just fine, but now when I put the disc in it says it's unreadable. Which is bullshit, as I returned it once already just to be sure, and it's a brand new disc. So now I want to uninstall FFXI. They fixed the system cache error, so now the only way to remove those files is to go into Playonline to uninstall. ... Which is great if you can get to POL. What am I supposed to do?
How many m.kris DRKs would you need to kill Kirin?
I am guessing 4-8?
Typical M.Kris puts out what, 9k damage? On Kirin it'll be a bit less unless your mages are seriously on their toes, but Kirin can't be stunlocked so after a possible Stonega, a Whirlwind or shit, and of course Astral Flow there needs to be immediate cure action. Anyway, Kirin has 60kish HP. Do a 'safe' zerg (more melee than necessary) and parse an M.Kris. Work from there.
Just got Goliard Saio for my Blm(everyone else dead, couldn't lot ;; )and I really don't know what to even do with it. Suggestions?
Stun, Aspir/Drain (Nash body beats it I guess), and in general (enfeebling) spells when you can spare the M.ACC (Sleep comes to mind). When you can spare the M.ACC. One resist can be deadly etc.
Has there been any extensive testing done on INT/MND for reducing magic dmg taken? I know most will say mnd for white magic based / int for elemental but are there any test backing this? Also would the wyrm family air dmg be int based? I have mnd gear for chiv that could double onto my magic dmg set(and fire resist). If most dmg is int based I don't have the inventory room anyway.
Not a solution but just a comment, I get this as well on my xbox with FFXI fairly often. I usually get around it by resetting / opening and closing disc drive 2-3 times. I get this error you mention along with another one that tells me to put this disc in a xbox 360 console... :3
If you rank up for the other two nations do you still get the gil? For instance, Im rank 10 sandy...I wanna do missions for Windy...do i get the gil for dinging rank 2 Windy, rank 3, etc...
Does anyone have the hit distributions for Bahamut's Zaghnal? I'm doing a DRK zerg weapon spreadsheet to work out approximately what % each weapon is of a KC at 30s and at 60s, and I've had to assume Bahamut Zaghnal's distribution as 33.3/33.3/33.3 which is obviously going to change the results a lot if it is different from the truth.
Cheers![]()
Only takes 8~10 decent melee's with 300% TP and 2hrs + 3 brds to zerg kirin with damn near 0% chance of failure.
Only wipe I've ever seen personally was when we had nothing but like asking people with 4th job War's to go change, and bringing a fucking Thf/Drk up there and shit.
He killed the three top end DD's, then the burn just kinda stalled at 20% and he started popping pets.
Went downhill fast.
I've been leveling RDM lately, and I'm hoping to get some general gearset advice.
I can pretty much figure out what equipment to put where, but I want to make sure that I don't miss any particular set.
From what I understand, at 75, I should have the following sets for general endgame use (Not including tanking or soloing):
Idle: Refresh + max MP
Convert: Max MP (I'm Elvaan with 8/8 HP Merits so a 1:1 ratio is pretty hard to get)
Fast Cast + Haste for static spells like Refresh and Haste
Cures: Cure Potency and -Enmity
HMP: Refresh, +HMP, max MP
Enfeebles:
Max Potency MND
Max Potency INT?
Max Skill, then Magic ACC or INT/MND (Depending on the Enfeeble)
Of course Stoneskin and Phalanx, and I have a pretty good idea of MDT/MDB and PDT from tanking on PLD and NIN for so long.
And regarding the Enfeebles, if my goal is max Potency then load up on as much MND or INT as possible (This affects Slow, Paralyze, and Blind?). If my goal is to land the spell, then Enfeebling Skill first? Then Magic ACC or the appropriate stat (MND or INT) in what ratio? Example, is an Omega ring better than a +5 stat ring for resistant mobs?
Thanks for the help in advance, hopefully I can sort all of this out and not be a bandwagon RDM![]()
And Conserve MP where you can (Cobra Unit stuff, Goliard Saio etc).
Not really necessary unless you plan on using Blind a lot and care about its potency.Max Potency INT?
1enfeebling skill = 1magic accuracy = 0.5 or 1 INT/MND. 0.5 when your INT is greater than (enemy's INT +10). There aren't too many slots you have to worry about this in.And regarding the Enfeebles, if my goal is max Potency then load up on as much MND or INT as possible (This affects Slow, Paralyze, and Blind?). And yeah, Omega/Balrahn's is the top Enfeebling combination, followed by Omega/5stat, assuming you care only about accuracy in the case of para/slow/lolblind.
I did a lot of melee accuracy testing using Baha Scythe. I loaded up a few Kparsers and averaged the numbers for you.
26.5% 1x
58% 2x
15.5% 3x
Thats around ~2200 hits. I was WAR/SAM using Pole Strap/Askar Body (no DA Merits). So DA + Zanashin would skew the results. It should give you an idea though~
Ah, thank you very much Kirschy
So that's 14% DA... I'm awful at probability math, so how do we take that back to work it out without, assuming those figures are 100% correct?
From examples I've seen on Ridill on wiki (yes I am just adapting what I've seen, I really don't know this stuff), you would take 7% from the DA (50% of 14%), giving you
x% 1hit
51% 2hit
z% 3hit
Then 3 hit occurs 14% less? So y x 0.86 = 15.5, so y = ~18%
x% 1 hit
51% 2hit
18% 3 hit
1 hit would therefore have to be 31% roughly?
This is close enough to a 30/50/20 distribution which would be 1.9 hits per round average?
Please correct me if I am mistaken
EDIT: How would I calculate adding Triple Attack from Homam Corazza to the Bzagh given the distribution above?
