quit ffxi, burn computer etc,
seriously though, you're completely fine with noscript and all that stuff.
be paraniod and perhaps play on a different pc until you've checked for keyloggers. i had noscript/etc and still got a keylogger after the first wave happened. I got lucky and was able to delete it in time and changed my pw on my ps2. The rmt tend to be retarded and give them names like accounthacker.ffxi.
Well avast didn't find anything and it's not like I have anything worth stealing anyway.
Me and a friend are duoing "A Sheep in Antlion's clothing". while we are capable of winning, we could use a little breathing space (when we win, its with <30s on the clock, when we lose, it's by seconds). I'm RDM/WHM, they're WAR/SAM
WS: - FFXIAH.com
TP: - FFXIAH.com
Uses Sole sushi for food, Steel Cyclone for WS.
Aside from moar merits or a Martial Bhuj, how can he hit harder. Would Coeurl Sub/Marinara Pizza be better food (haven't parsed his acc), or would Raging Rush give better returns.
Open to spending gil on better gear, but we're both a little short atm.
Are you using ApRadar? If not, just use that, I don't see how gear matters at all if you are using it....I duo it with a whm+mnk, both mules, mnk is using amazing gear like purple belt, NQ amemet, iota ring, WSes in a w.turban, etc.
If you're not using ApRadar...eh, that warrior's gear doesn't look too bad, but it really depends more on how many adds you have to kill and how fast you are at finding them all...
Can you get more than the listed "Maximum bonus" from exp rings?
For example, say you used an Anniversary band and have gotten 2900 exp from the ring. If the next mob you killed would give 300 exp without a ring, would you get 400 exp or 600 exp?
I always thought you'd get 600 but my friend says otherwise.
Does any BLM have/use an MP Latent macro (Ugly Pendant) for those few situational times when it can be useful?
Do you mean like a macro that forces <51% MP? (Or, rather, one spell above 51%) Or one to equip the pendant when you find yourself in a situation where it'll be activated on that cast?
The former I'm not sure if it's even feasible, and if it was I can't see where it would be more useful than using the MP you'd lose on casting spells. The latter is obviously what you'd want to do if you have a pendant. Mine /echos current MP so I can be sure I'm at the appropriate MP (keeping in mind the MP at which the pendant proc and the MP cost of the spell I'm going to use if I'm still above 50%).
Yea I meant the formor. I was mostly just curious if anyone was crazy enough to have one (and what they used it for.) I don't play BLM much, but everyone once in a while I find myself in a position where MP conservation and efficiency isn't needed at all, and the highest damage nuke is fun to try for. It was a dumb question, but I'm still curious if anyone has one!
Anyone notice with the last update (or maybe previous) it seems they've changed something with NPC? Seems they've put in the programming for 75 cap.
Before if you were capped @ 50,55,60,65 and were stuck @ max xp, npc would still give a message "My next level is any time now." but @ 70 they would never say that.
Mine just said it today...can post screenshots if needed, or this may be a "olde news" kind of thing, idk, mostly retired so not payin as much attention these days![]()
When I solo Brothers, I waste ~400 mp outside so I'm starting at 650 and my first nuke brings me into ugga(then I manafont kill the first mob, die and reraise/rest before the second). While obviously it's doable without that, it's sort of like what you asked about? =O I can't see it being possible to take out that much mp with a macro though..
On this topic of uggy pendant macro talk, does anyone have a bit of spellcast code I can use that will equip uggy when below 51% or the cast will force me below 51% or elemental torque otherwise?
Uggy Pendant or Ele Torque spellcast stuff
That should work
I don't know too much about spellcast but however you have it programmed, make sure it accounts for the fact that just like with sorc ring, not all slots are factored in for the %. Neck, Back, Waist, Food, Convert HP>MP, MP% and Ear and Ring armor (at least the Ear and Ring slots I checked at the time, I don't think I knew about Sorc Ring's R.Ring thing then) are not used in the calculation.
My understanding of spellcast is it's very customizable in terms of conditions you can set? Ideally, then, you'd have it look at the max MP after factoring in the things I listed above, and then equip Pendant if [your MP - (50% of the MP cost of the spell you are about to cast)] is less than 51% of that special max MP. The 50% of MP cost thing is so that if you get a good Conserve MP proc you won't be wearing pendant, although I guess you could just do the full MP cost of the spell and risk that happening occasionally, too.
Firstly, the rule I pastebin'd up there reads your current MP so it doesn't need special instructions based on special gear
And I didn't know you could know ahead of time when you were going to get a conserve MP proc, to equip ugga or not, please tell me how, I would love to know
I think there was a misunderstanding on both points.
On the first point, what I was saying was not a matter of your current MP, but rather what max to compare it to. For instance, if you've got 950 max MP, but 10 of that is from prism cape, 30 from Tamas Ring, and 50 from Zenith Mitts, then you really need to be below 51% of 860 when the spell goes off (That is, 438 MP rather than 484).
The other thing about Conserve MP wasn't about being able to predict it. It was saying you may (or may not, depending) want to account for the possibility of a proc. Let's use the above example, casting Blizzard 4. You want to be below 438 MP when the spell goes off, so the first thing someone might think to do is to only equip Pendant when your MP is already below 438. But doing that you'll miss an opportunity to use it on the preceding spell. So since Bliz4 costs 164 MP, you might set it to equip pendant when your MP is 438+164 = 602 MP. But then if you get a conserve MP proc from 602 MP, you'll only end the cast with 448~520 MP, so you won't trigger latent on that cast, so pendant is useless. So you might instead want to equip pendant only when your MP is less than 438+82 = 520 MP. That way you don't run the risk of that happening. Whether or not it might just be better to do the full 164 and risk the chance of it not kicking in on that cast is something to look at, I was just bringing it up to consider.
