Fable III

its a lot of fun, especially with co-op, but it's not remotely deep. Think of it like an arcade-rpg. Simple, and goofy, but still fun. Also I dig the story in this one more than 2, and more than I remember of 1, although its been a while.

Start as child, village slaughtered sister kidnapped, rescued by Maze of heroes guild, fight twinblade get sister back, fight in the arena, discover jack of blades is true villain, JoB kills your mom and throw you in jail, you break out and return to guild, Maze has destroyed the guild, kill Maze, fight jack of blades and return him to the abyss.

I have Fable: The Lost Chapters with me on pc. It made the Jack of Blade fight and the master fights much more enjoyable on the new island.

Fuck it, reinstalling it now. Damn forgot this was 4 discs to install.

I really like this game. If nothing else it's very funny. The action is fun as well. It's definitely worth a rent, at least, plenty to do.

So people who have bought this, what do you think about it? I was planning on buying it but after the disappointment of Fable 2 i was put off. How does it compare to the other two?(as in massive improvement, worse, no change etc)

If you disliked 2 there's no way in hell you'll like this. The gameplay is basically unchanged aside from being being slightly simplified but made more fluid in the process. Story, quests and other crap are all much better than 2 though. It's been far too long for me to really compare it to 1 in terms of those but it's definitely great in those regards. If you just kind of switch off and get stuck in it's very enjoyable.

gotta love finding bugs w/in the first hr of play that forces me to save and reload.
I find having no mini map my biggest complaint so far. I hate having to spend a few minutes going to a world map, that doesn't even show my location, just to try and get my bearings.

All you really have to do is keep up with the bread crumb trail, with that you really dont need a mini map.

I enjoyed the game as I did Fable 2 but these games are always so short. Time to go collect the rest of the silver keys and open the demon doors and such.

Some of those silver keys made me feel retarded as hell. I got all but 1 of them without having to look up where they were. When I DID look up that single one I still needed I then spent 30 minutes still trying to find it before I ragequit and give up, only to find it 2 seconds after booting the game back up the next day. ALL OF MY HATE. I got a fucking badass pistol from the 50 key chest though, it owns.
