I while back when I was little, I remember a show.

What I remember is

A kid finding a beetle shape armor thing, and it attaching to him.

When he says the name, he changes to a blue beetle.

What he says is the name of the show but for the life of me I can't remember.

Indeed it was a terrible show. I think their "Zordon" type was some blue Jay Leno knock off.
