    I blame loyalty

For some reason, people feel prideful when they say they have been a democrat/republican for 20+ years. It's an asinine statement because neither party's platform is anywhere near what it was 20 years ago. The people stopped dictating the politicians' positions - now the politicians dictate the peoples' positions. So many people are caught up in the evil GOP and retarded libs. Nothing ever gets done and instead fingers are just pointed blaming the other. It's never a party doing good; it's always a party doing bad.

You're just naive then. I ultimately blame Raum Emmanuel for all the Conservative Dino's. He really wanted a Majority but he didn't anticipate them cockblocking the Democrats. If it where truly a super majority we would already had this shit passed.

Such a fail troll. For one, everyone knew that Obama foolishly thought that the Afghan war was a war of "necessity" so the assertion that he pulled a fast one on us there is retarded. Secondly, I don't know anyone that has let him off the hook there because as Kuya has pointed out Public opinion has turned against it.

The ignorance of this post and this thread in general is astounding. But it's not surprising considering the source. Obama isn't a king, he can't wave his scepter and make shit happen.

    Here's how America's government works.

He's playing at politics, not raising the threat level so progressives lose elections, faking evidence for a war, or firing unsympathetic federal attorneys.

The only point you're making is that progressives are intelligent and aware enough over specific opinions and statements made by their elected official to dissent. We don't vote against a public option in healthcare because of abortion or the 10 commandments in federal buildings.

I don't think him rejecting habeas corpus for prisoners in Bagram is an issue of him not having a scepter. Or the photos... or the illegal wiretapping...

Yea... Talking about transperency in government and respect of the laws/constitution is not exactly amenable to the things i mentioned. Hence when he said that he wanted to bring transperency/respect of laws to/of government... well he didn't quite follow through on that.

except he kind of can with a supermajority and a public that, at least for the last 6 months, has been overwhelmingly approving and hopeful. He won't because he receives criticism from people that wouldn't approve of him giving a starving child a sandwich.

Deflecting here, but that seems to be the general pattern (nu uh -> politics! -> damn GOP lets hate them instead). Obama could, oh you know, pull out troops put in place because of fake evidence for a war. But nope, he can't because why would he ever keep promises he made during the campaign? Saying he is just playing politics is stupid when no politics need to be played with the majority the democrats have. There is no excuse now. None

Yes yes, progressives are perfect and the best things ever. Means fuck if they can't even pass things when they have what they do now. Might as well be a group of monkeys tbh (inb4 racism)

demo please stop trying to pass yourself as nonpartisan. While you went into hiding midway through the election cycle claiming to be a Ron paul/Babar supporter (forget which fringe candidate you choose) I know you're pretty much a self-hating neocon in disguise.

you can throw insults like that all around but it's irrelevant to the discussion (sup non sequitor). To feed your little need to know where my vote went, I supported Ron Paul -> found out he was a creationist -> thought about the libertarian candidate because I didn't like mccain or obama -> voted obama because barr sucks and I bought in a little to the obama hype.

You make yourself look retarded by calling me a neocon lol. Then again, you don't have to call me a neocon to do that

Yeah the media told us to vote for Hillary and we didn't. They said she was unstoppable we voted on facts and conscience. You on the other hand rolled out the red carpet for Sarah Palin.

    and thus the problem

it's never been about policy or the issues. It's about one thing: democrats vs republicans. Good vs evil, evil vs good. bad policy is the result of the other party being bad or not understanding. Good policy is the result of the other party being wrong and thus doing the opposite. The reason accountability is dead is because only the other party is in the wrong. you party a minority? there are too many of the opposite party. majority? president is the other party. majority and president? other party is being meanies

Who called themselves a democrat? I'm an independent. It's people like you labeling and polarizing. The sad thing is you can't even grasp the irony of this conversation. Why don't you go back to defending Lou Dobbs and Glenn Beck instead of trying to convince me of what I am.
