Reformatted, now laptop mousepad sidescroll does not work

As the title says, I reformatted my laptop the other day, but now my mousepad sidescroll option doesn't work. What to do?

The windows default driver usually (in my 6 laptop experience) does not support sidescroll, you have to dump the usually always the additional drivers on top, which is the symnatics (i forgot the exactl spelling) on it.

Go to your laptop manufacturer's website and download the touchpad drivers. That is clearly the issue here.

Aside from the drivers solution did you see any full screen vids after reformatting? For some odd reason my scroll shuts down after watching a vid on/offline in full screen. To fix it, I just open a directory with lots of files and go up and down selecting the files with the arrow keys. Silly really but it works...

I suppose I didn't, although I figured it would have been one of the drivers I installed with drivers CD. I'll try going to the manufacturer's website.

And to the above poster, it doesn't happen after I watch a video full screen, just doesn't work.

aslong as you didnt downgrade operating systems that should be the issue.

check to see if the service is disable, and also set it to restart the service again automaticlly if it gets error or turns off
