Also, deleting the threads of accusations and such from their own forums is smart, they aren't trying to run a democracy, they are a website and protecting their integrity comes first.

Apparently your not too sure how the internet works, deleting those threads are going to cluster-fuck the situation more then anything else; as it shows they are trying to "hide" the problem at hand rather then deal with it.

Regardless looking at the comparisons its quite obvious, I may not be a translator but I have written hundreds of news articles and Q&A's for various things. Plagiarism is one of the most obvious things in the world of journalism, and is even more obvious when translation is involved. I'm quite glad that this was brought into the light long before the site became too popular; so that there is a chance that the staff over at said domain can clean up its crew.

Either way, this threads receives a large A+ in my book. Contains lol's, proof of plagiarism and completely discredits a site, its probably the best thread in the past month. I'm glad things got sorted out for you Elmer; you have always done a great service for our(The entire FFXI community) community as a whole; its sad to someone claim credit for your hard work. Regardless due to the apparent issues at the site; I doubt I will ever visit in the future or recommend it to anyone.

That site icon looks AWFULLY familiar.. OH WAIT! It's because I MADE IT for Eorzeapedia.

Translation isn't the only issue your site is having. You can't even design your own favicon.

Eorzeapedia has also been having issues with FFXIVCore with stealing articles and original images without so much as a link back. To their credit they did remove the article... and then the images when we asked a second time.

Seriously guy, out of anyone that is posting here, you should be the last one calling other people out on ripping other people off.

OK, it looks like it's time to round up the drama llamas and get them back into the pen.

I've been contacted by people in charge of FFXIVCore and Curse and they took the time to talk to me about the whole incident. As I suspected, the translator they had been using was falsely representing his abilities and copying content to fill in whatever he couldn't manage.

The guy is gone, FFXIVCore will take down the articles and a different staff member will rewrite them. That's probably the best solution to all this.

So, I guess we're done here.

Elmer, thank you for taking the mature and respectable route instead of just getting caught up in everything.

This thread is the reason that BG sucks sometimes. I bunch of people that don't know anything about a situation jump up and down just to cause more drama. Talk about making a mountain out of a molehill.

When people act like Elmer did and also how Zyuu did, you get a decent resolution without interforum warfare before a game is even released.

I am into video games in general, so curse is a pretty common name for me. But I just figured that anyone that posts on an obscure video game MMO website would know more than just their own game.
