Xbox Live has a one day only sale, one month of Xbox Live Gold for $1. It can only be purchased thru the dashboard on the console.

I dunno exactly about the bundles (I assume that's daily), but it says the deals will rotate every 12 hours. Right now, there are plenty of quality titles on the front page in the 1-3$ range.
They're probably gonna give away a free game, and say they will do a couple other things during the sale.

The headline gimmick is, based on how much you spend over the course of the sale, you'll get bonus games added to your account.
Hitting $1 gets you Sim City 2000, hitting $20 gets you S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Clear Sky (SoC & CoP are on sale right now, and will get you halfway to this goal), and hitting $50 gets you Xenonauts.

Lastly, the new Galaxy client means you can have something steam-like to handle installations and updates now. (Using Galaxy is not required, you can still do things the old way.)

Edit: Went ahead and bought them. Probably not going to find them at a deeper discount than 79% on steam's sale. I'll just count that against the $50 I have allocated myself for the Steam summer sale.

Usually GameStop is the devil but I traded in 360+ 2 controllers and a few ps4 games and got Xbox one halo collection edition and forza horizon for only 119.44$ after taxes.

Got 150$ for Xbox and 11$ each per controller.

Yeah, 20% off for 2 years at I think now 30-40 bucks. Plus you also get bonus reward certificates as well, including most preorders getting you a 10 dollar certificate. Between all the amiibo's i've bought there, plus MKX and MGS V CE, i've already made my money back.

Not sure if it differs for area, but in Michigan it's $30. Easily made up for it with a few purchases. Plus, double points on trades and what not, which Best Buy isn't bad on trade when they do +30% with another 10% for GCU members.

It used to be 99 for the longest time, then they had a sale for the membership after christmas, and I think now they just decided to make it 30 bucks for the 2 years.
