Lost Song is okay. The battle is similar, you have WAY LESS skills, and flight. It's a little better text-wise, but I like Hollow Fragment better.

Battles are in no way similar though.
Like... not even kind of close.

In my opinion, combat is the biggest point where HF fails. Lost Song shits on it as far as combat goes, its not even a close comparison.
That's actually the reason I couldn't enjoy HF. It has more content and so on but none of it was fun (for me). Whereas Lost Song's combat was rather enjoyable and flight is also more fun than it should be.
