Here's a protip, if you've had xbox live for a few years try giving them a call when it's time to renew. Often, they'll give you the same deal as those websites because of "loyalty" or such. Had them autobill the wrong card, and while they were fixing it for me, the guy told me about it; forever renew by calling them now since they always seem eager to hook me up.

for the most part it looks fine, I can't find anything specific saying you have to maintain the card, BUT...

there's this:

so it's quite possible those restrictions are exactly what you're worried about

I haven't played it, but an awful lot of people have said it's one of the best overlooked games lately. 360 has tearing issues, PS3 has lower frame rate, either way people love it.
