I don't see why they couldn't make a cockpit only mode for an increased difficulty etc?

^ Grid did it, and I love it. Grid also had that "realism mode" where there was no restarting races, but you got more rep for winning. I'd love to see things like that implemented, and off-topic, I wish there was a Grid 2. I love codemasters' work.
Edit: Give me a PC release! As pretty as this game looks, its still limited by the PS3 engine. I'd love to see what Polyphony could do with the "unlimited" potential of a PC!
The cockpit view will create a better simulation if the graphics engine is up to par. You get a better sense of how the car is actually reacting from the proper position. Not to mention that with a force feed back wheel you'd actually be able to feel the car and wouldn't need to see things you normally do in these games. I'm fucking stoked. I need to buy a wheel but the Newest Logitech is 250. Not feeling that.
Wow... $250 might as well buy another PS3 lol..
There's another wheel they advertise as the "official" wheel of GT that has the GT logo in the center of the wheel that is around 100-120 new/used that I was checking out on Amazon. No clutch pedal though if that's you're thing. I'm going to do some shopping around to find out how much the other wheels they offer are though.
I never get that sense of feel when playing cockpit mode, it's more like "well shit, how long is the front of this car again?". I would assume owning a 3DTV would solve that problem though, and I envy those that will be able to the play it in that way. The only thing I got for the game is my G27, which should be fucking awesome to use given I can count the number of games that supports its clutch on the one hand.
Well for GT4 I liked the nose camera angle, but I also didn't play with a wheel most the time. After playing with one and playing prologue, I noticed that you can actually tell but it requires some memorization of the cars nose or handling characteristics. I do have a 3d tv, although I don't play games on yet. I might change that when GT5 comes out though hah.
Forgot to post this last night but there's still time >_>

We can confirm that Gran Turismo 5 will not be available this November 2nd, but the game’s release will be coming this holiday season.
We sincerely apologize to GT fans for the delay, however, creator Kazunori Yamauchi and the team at Polyphony Digital want to make certain they are creating the perfect racing experience, and we are confident that this ambitious game will exceed expectations when it launches.
We’ll have more information for you in the near future
surprising? not really, guess we coulda seen this coming along
Ffs just release it already and patch whatever isn't 'perfect'. I'm over the point of being impatient now. I'm fairly certain 95% of the content is more than suitable enough for consumer comsumption.
Wtf am I supposed to play for all of November now? I didn't have anything else on my list to play. -.-
Oh for fucks sake. Now I'll have to buy blackops to keep me busy.
Well it'll be hot pursuit that fills my racing pangs, then.
High octane twitch action game. I still need to try out the demo though and see how it compares to their last game Bayonetta, which I'm still working on.
It'll be an option for me I guess if nothing else comes out of left-field into my radar. All I had set up was GT5 for November, Dead Space 2 for January.
Just realized they didn't even give us a date. So that's bad.
Hopefully we'll have it by Easter!!
I need a gif of Kazunori Yamauchi being run over by a Mercedes SLS AMG, for my personal amusement.
Jesus fuck, another delay.
it'll be out by time the PS4 rolls around.
