I am level 17, griding for money on the special events, at level 13? you get a GT world series, and if you come gold on them you get like 89000 credits, lambo merculago costs only 379k credits, with a bit of tuning you can make it fast but has pretty bad handling took me a while to get used to it. Special events are definitely where the money comes from quick, it is just a shame they only give it once

Sony will launch a Gran Turismo 5 title update this weekend to "refine the usability of the game to make it a better experience", according to series creator Kazunori Yamauchi.

"We're going to perform an update on the 27th that will include things like max power restrictions and weight restrictions," he told Eurogamer. "It's like a living creature, dynamically growing as we speak.

"Online updates are planned of course for leaderboards and matchmaking - [they're] all planned in the process of evolution," he added.

The Polyphony Digital boss went on to say that updates will be released on a regular basis. The team will be "upgrading every week, every month" to improve the game. "I think it's going to be hard to find an end to that process."

Early reports have highlighted a number of issues with the game. Sony said that "extreme online traffic congestion" has affected both on and offline play, and Yamauchi admitted that the online service was "kind of in a critical state" on launch day.

"The data centre was set up to handle 500,000 connections but the number of connections we received greatly exceeded that amount and there was a high chance of experiencing problems as a result," he said.

"The design of the GT game really integrates the online and offline parts. So the problems online actually affected the offline play as well. Right now we've changed the number of simultaneous connections that are possible to one million, doubling the number, and we're trying to gauge what will happen, but we don't know at this point in time."

i did it at the beginning by buying the mazda miata for 19000 and then buying the ECU for 1000 but i dont know any other way after starting the game

I wish there was an option to pick a car from your own garage as host, and have everyone else use it. You can only do it for the default multiplayer cars currently. ;/

and yeah, but you can use your cars that you set as favorites in your GT Life on the multiplayer so you can use your modded shit. Just have to set it as a favorite in the garage. Sadly no one else can use it.
