Anyone done or working on the Grand Tour special challenge? I'm on the third track (the one with the orange Lambo) and spent like 4 hours on it and the best I could come up with is silver. The thing that keeps fucking me up is the high speed section in the middle with the sweeping left turn... seems like anything I do I always end up losing an important 2-3 seconds there (and most of the time, i just fly off the and tap the edge of the track), the racing line there is hard as fuck to follow when you're trying to catch up to the first car by the last few turns.

Anyone got any ideas as to why my car has 600+ HP, yet can only deliver under 200km/hr speed before the engine peaks out?

I got a 70s car I'm trying to soup up for easier racing, but after tossing 50k in parts into it and still having the same problem, I'm unsure if the car is at its limits, or there's something I need to tune/get maintenance on that I'm unaware of.

Sounds like a transmission deal. Adjust your gear ratios (if you bought the transmission package) to widen out your ratios such that your final gear will go out farther and faster.

Might be, my gears shift fucking fast as-is, with the RPM barely budging back after each shift. Shame the damn kit costs 20k. Well, I'm doing this for my b-spec driver at any rate since he's an idiot, so I'll punish him by making him farm cash for me if this fixes it.

[EDIT] That did the trick, just adjusted the max speed setting to 300 and now I'm rollin. I guess that happens when you take a car and double the horse-power?


[EDIT2] Fucking hell lol, this car went from being on-par with the competition for this one event my b-spec been failing at (which I did fine myself with the same car), to OP and overlapping the others.

Speaking of B-Spec, I hate the pick up truck challenge. It's BS. You don't let off the throttle at Daytona, Let it rip! But no, he has to cruise at 130 at the banks. *rage*

Mine had the same truck that I raced, I won by a good ten seconds. My B-spec driver was 12/12 on the third lap before I exited lol. Same driver who won the Clubman cup with an Enzo by two seconds on each race.

What car is that and what did you do? I need to pick up a classic car at some point too to use for that shit. I can't let the driver use a car that's on par with the cpu because if so, he gets raped hard.

All of the B-Spec events are rage inducing...

My dudes will build a 7 second lead then forget they need to keep their foot on the gas to keep the lead. Can't count how often they've barely won even though they've got a massive advantage on the competition.

Then there's the fucknuts who can't seem to overtake anything. Pass them you assclown don't just peek around then bump the back of their car while everyone else screams past you.

2: Start game
3: Go to options and scroll down and across to Audio
4: Click Select Custom BGM
5: Select the 1st song in your custom playlist
6: Select Use custom BGM

Getting gold in all the events, specifically the AMG events, are going to be damn near impossible

My PSN is Terico1989, still fucked off at this gran Turismo all stars event, for some reason i can't win it at all and it is raging me every time and i try and i make retarded mistakes.

I saw on GameFAQs, that a Bugatti Veyron with Full weight reduction and Racing Soft tires (36k cr.)

For that trophy, pretty much need to be able to gold all the dry runs on the AMG events at least. Going to be a bitch to do that well on it using just the stock GT-R. Good thing GT-Rs are fucking awesome to drive.

Also, doing that in real life would scare the shit out of me with no driving line telling me when to brake lol.

So I'm looking at used G27 wheel on craigslist for $150. You guys who have one, is it worth it?

It's a damn nice wheel, with the annoyance being that barely any PS3 games support it fully (GT5 is probably the only one that does, but even then it has no control profile for it), and every game maps their buttons to it differently. I used it on my PC more than anything mainly because I could customize everything to my liking outside of the games thanks to Logitech's great little Profiler application.

What's the best wheel for gt? I'm really wanting one after watching the redbull x1 prototype go around the track, that thing is fucking scary, seriously, how do you hit 230+ without breaking a sweat???
