The final top gear race was hilarious if anyone gets to do that soon. If you thought the van one was a pain in the ass, this has the possibility for being both rage-inducing and loldestruction derby.

As for wheels, I am missing my DC adapter for my GT4 wheel and have been stuck with a controller this entire time QQ. Anyone know where to get just the adapter and not the entire deal?

My '66 Shelby Cobra has over 700bhp and can theoretically hit 420+ kph.
Unfortunately the engine starts to redline at 350-ish.

Just got this yesterday and I have a few questions. It seems that the beginner races are a bit too easy to me and I'm really not a great driver. Picked up a used celica with comparable HP to the typical opponents in a few of the series and had no trouble at all finishing. It wasnt until I tried the Vitz races with a car that had around 100hp (top HP on the typical opponents list was like 140ish) that I thought a race was decently challenging. It actually came down to a neck and neck finish where I had to block cars trying to pass me. The races do get much more difficult right? With the celica it felt like I had a lot more power than the other cars or they werent getting on the throttle.

When does the racing line go away? It's nice but I'd like to figure that kind of stuff out. Is there a way to disable it? When does car damage come into play? I noticed something in the maintenance area about repairs for vehicles that have had a lot of race time? Are damaged areas permanent until you fix them? If so how much does that usually cost? Why arent we given our cars from series victories directly instead of the coupons for the car delivery? Any reason to not get the vehicle delivered? Am I the only one that uses the D-pad for steering? (lol) I'm rambling now but I'm sure I have more questions.

First off, yes, god yes do races get harder. Also more frustrating. Do the license tests. International C can kiss my ass. You can turn the racing line off and pretty much any other 'helpful' thing in the game through the driving options before you actually start the race. I use joysticks for racing (left to steer, right to accelerate/etc)

But yeah, just keep progressing, do the special events, etc.

I love my ferrari 599'06, tuned it up nice and proper, 811 hp, doesn't accelerate too fast but it's been clocking 212 mph.
Even my retard B-spec driver can win with it

It seems to be the damage is permanent until it's fixed, though your car will look normal when you start a race. I gave my new Enzo to my B-Spec driver in hopes it would help him win some more races, and in the process he crashed it a crap-ton. When I went to drive it again it was damn near impossible to control from all the damage. It will cost me 500k to fix the chassis and another 500k to rebuild the engine. I think the cost for chassis and the engine changes depending on the car you have. A civic for example will be a lot easier to rebuild an engine and replace the chassis than a Ferrari.

Kinda wishing GT5 took a cue from Codemasters' racers and offered you more credits for winning races with less assistance on oversteering/traction-control/etc. For farming purposes there's no incentive to drive realistically.

Just got my DeLorean from that B-Spec race. Am level 10 now in that regard. I am trying to find a specific song within the GT5 soundtrack on here in the music library. It's when you idle around in an online library or in the game itself and it has this choir of girls or something singing in it? Know what it is? It's stuck in my head.

There is a ton of features i'd love to import from other games such as Forza's AI and like kaisha said the incentive to drive realistically but GT seems to always behind in those things, they seem to only focus on being a "Real Driving Sim" and Top notch graphics, which holds it back from being the absolute best in racing sims.

probably needs to be done in GT mode or did you go to GT mode? most Trophys unlock when you go back to the GT home menu

Oh god, I'd be so pissed. Were you using a GT-R from your favorites (ie from your own garage), or was it the GT-R that they offer in the regular arcade car section?

Only the ones for winning events like licenses or a-spec modes. All the ones that were specific in a race, like the human stopwatch, winning by .01, etc were unlocked the second it happened, no matter if it was in GT mode or arcade.

At the very beginning of the Eastern hatchback race I when into the pitstop and I didn't relize it, before the lap I was in 2nd place, won with a 30+ sec lead, fuck yes Motor sports Elise!
