Just bought the Citroen GT race car and it's a disappointment, I wasn't sure what i was expecting but it's a mid tier car, Has about 600hp, It handles nice, But won't cut it at high end races, If you are going for it i wouldn't recommend it, There are many cars out there preform much better.

Oh god, I'd be so pissed. Were you using a GT-R from your favorites (ie from your own garage), or was it the GT-R that they offer in the regular arcade car section?


Only the ones for winning events like licenses or a-spec modes. All the ones that were specific in a race, like the human stopwatch, winning by .01, etc were unlocked the second it happened, no matter if it was in GT mode or arcade.

nah, believe it or not it was a very easy time for me to run. the first time i ran a lap i accidently hit grass and did a 360, also left pavement and went into grass 4-5 times and still ran 7'32"6xx. and i was using the GTR that they offer in the arcade mode, not one from my own garage. Mine has 750+ HP, that would be an unfair trophy. lol

Hmm, that should have unlocked it then. I'll try a couple laps tonight in GT mode and see if (if I can beat the time) it unlocks.

I'm developing a really bad habit of doing brilliantly in a race then making one colossal fuckup in the last lap which ends with me spinning out in the grass...

Nice to see the last Go-Kart challenges are harder than the other two though.

Achieve a time of 7´29.03 on Nurburgring Nordshleife in a Nissan GT-R 07. The record must be achieved in a Time Trial in the Arcade mode version of the car with tires of Sports Hard grade or lower equipped.

so i dont understand why it didn't unlock, maybe it has to be exact? and did you have the right tires

I don't recall, I didn't change any settings for the car. I'll try it again tonight after I get off work.

I very much doubt you have to get the exact time. I would also guess it was the tires.

Default settings are sport:hard. Going to attempt a couple laps to see if I can hit the time.

Just noticed that if you hit the wall or take a shortcut through the grass, it reds out your time and it doesn't count. Maybe this happened?

Edit2:Ok, finally beat it with a time of 7:28.570. Got the trophy when I quit from the time trial and was back at the screen showing the rankings for Nurburgring.

Ok, b-spec is bugging me now. My driver keeps making the rear tires burn out (they get red in the indicator momentarily), anyone got an idea how to fix that? I have zero problems handling the car, yet he keeps managing to spin out since he's hitting the throttle too hard for the tires this match enforces (Sports:Hard).

Kinda wish I could tune my vehicle on-the-fly while in Practice mode, rather than having to keep hopping back/forth between menus to see the subtle changes I make.

D'oh, was my tires. Having trouble now with hard sport tires. Didn't know tires would make so big of a difference.

Yeah I tend to use soft tires for the grip, actually haven't driven hard tires yet in GT5. I'm guessing you slide all over the fucking place.

How the jesus fuck did anyone mange to get golds on the Nurburgring Special Events in the Mercedes SL? (First level) Closest i got to a gold was on the full lap final trial where i was only 1.8 seconds off the gold, but the other's i was always a good 4-8 seconds off the gold. Gave up after trying non-stop for 2 hours...

My drivers have a hell of a problem with my Cobra in tracks that are corner heavy, they just slam the throttle and spin out.
It could be your car has too much "oomph", not enough downforce, or your driver is stressed out. Could also be they're clipping the dirt/grass and sliding.

EDIT: Speaking of B-Spec; fuck the ringers the AI throws in. 3 Enzos in the Ferraro race? Really?

Even though this sounds annoying, it really is just practic practice practice. The thing with that track is you get used to where you can go faster/get away with things like sliding round a bend, i have only done a few on gold myself but the first time i did them in the SLS i was getting bronze.

Are you sure the GT by Citroen Race Car is that bad? i have seen this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7m-I33r4i5A (I think it is this video youtube is banned at work) of it on youtube and it is quite capable of reaching 270+mph unless they nerfed it (lol?) i doubt it can be that bad... i will still be buying it for its pure awesome lookingness, just gotta grind the last bit of money
