I've come to the realization that i need the steering wheel for this game, i cannot handle those cars with a controller honestly. I know i've sucked a lot in gran turismo but now i'm totally realizing that the analog stick just does not give me the actual ability to judge my turns etc. Might pick up a driving force gt for xmas and see how much different it is for me. I need my gas pedals, that's for certain. lol

Dunno if it's been mentioned yet - but was hubby's birthday today, he switched on GT5 to be presented with a birthday present - a car from the year he was born.

Would have been rather neat except it's an Audi Quattro so I've had to endure Gene Hunt impressions all afternoon (if anyone saw Ashes to Ashes). Did amuse me though as quite a cute little gimmick.

How do you go about doing that? SOmeone told me you can only change your birthdate once? I assume you change it via PSN, and then get the car, then change it back, etc.

Also gonna suck without the internet while these people work on my hardwood floors in the house. Gotta rip em up and everything, cutting off access to most of the house, so I'm staying in a hotel. No friends in town I could bum a week visit with, haha.

Make a fake psn with today as your birthday and the year as the car year you want, than just keep making/deleting gt5 save files. Send the cars to your main account

Yeah, it's really easy to do once you get the pictures to the XMB. The only thing that sucks is there isn't a bulk uploading option that I've found.

Hit triangle while in the camera mode and play with the settings. Also helps to play with the shutter speeds, especially for night shots.

I have the old driving force (not pro, not gt, not anything, just simply Driving Force) and I want to replace it with something. i just want to know if it does the BS on straight aways like this one does (i.e. swerving back and forth on its own, even at lower speeds (>100mph)

also, please don't tell me real cars do this, i've driven plenty and on a flat straight paved road, this doesn't happen, unless these race courses have shittier tarmac than i assume

GT Auto you can paint rimz.

The rally events are so much fun, especially the snow courses. The C4 WRC owns the intermediate and expert events. Anecdotal evidence suggests that (at least on rally mode) that rain persists even after the stage. It would rain on one stage, not be raining the next but the roads would still be wet. It would get gradually drier as the stages went on without rain. Also in the first couple moments of it starting to rain during the middle of a stage, the road would be pretty dry.

I got a driving force pro just today, but after setting it up I noticed i dont reallly have enough space to use it effectively, but the force feedback almost hits you over the head. Takes awhile to get used to, but i did jack the sensitivity all the way up.

go to daytona and go to the backstretch and just let go of the wheel and see if it just slowly starts jerking back and forth, eventually forcing you to spin out.

i drove on daytona with the go-kart and there are a lot of bumps that would make the go-kart jump around, so it might not be the wheel, or it could be since its so old

Classic Car Race Cup is so annoying, the Toyota 7 Race Car on that is so much bullshit it is not even funny. Anyone who hasn't done the birthday trick to get all of the 20M race cars managed to do this race? I tried the Buick but it handles like shit, and the lambo contach seems the best choice, the only way i can come to close to winning is to push the Toyota Race car into the wall at the start to make it be last, even then it can still over take me by lap 5...

Also, at level 21 you get a race mode "Like the Wind" if you can beat this race you get your first Race Car, unfortunately just before i did this race i spent 4M on the Peugeot Race Car too if you buy the suspension mod for the veyron, and put the camber to 0 you will be able to ace this race no problems giving you access to a pretty awesome free car.

My only slight complaint about the game is the exp curve seems to go up to insane amounts. Currently it is 150k exp to get to level 24 and i can get like a maximum of like 8k for the longer races
