Just wait till you guys try rally mode. It's so much fun with the force feedback.

That review pretty much nailed everything i feel is wrong with the game all at once. It really imo was a waste to load the game up with all the standard cars instead of taking that extra time and space to fully detail shit like rain and some of the track elements. Though I will say I haven't played dirt and after trying rally races with a wheel, if they were playing with a wheel the way you feel traction slipping is incredible. I can't ever maintain power through a curve nor can I adapt to the range of motion necessary to maneuver the rally car in the Loeb challenge properly.

I'm just glad that the majority of the faults lie in a cumbersome interface (fixable via patches) and inconsistent visuals (shadows/rain could be fixed possibly). Fair review from GT, and was surprised to see they gave it a 9.0 even after pointing out all the things they found that could use some work.

Anyone done the NASCAR championship at level 21? the races where i can go flat out are fine, but doing races like Grand Valley in a fucking NASCAR was never meant to be, if you go below 90 mph your back wheels just constantly spin out and you slide all of over the place.

Hoping to hit 25 today to finally get onto the endurance races and start the proper grind.

They should be happy they can get a hold of any of them at all through the RUF loophole.

I tried but got frustrated when I got to that track because I had no idea it wouldn't be exlcusively nascar tracks. For those tracks the cars have to be tuned to limit wheel spin, LSD, and probably downforce needs to be adjusted as well.

Funny thing on the NASCAR circuit, I messed up on the Daytona since stupid other cars decided it would be fun to spin me out at the tri-oval. Could never get back to the draft. Regardless, I think for the road courses I said screw it and popped traction control to 6, ASM on, and ABS at 3. I am using a controller so I don't have good acceleration control. Though my power adapter comes in next week for my steering wheel.

B-SPEC wise, ugh I wish my damn AI would just win supercar nostalgia. Can't get past 2nd at Laguna Seca.

I used a Delta Integrale for beginner, and WRX STI for intermediate. Also make sure to turn off TCS for the dirt rallies if you normally leave it on, shit will bog you down when you want/need to drift a corner

Any advice for the kart race on Autumn Ring? I didnt have much trouble with the other tracks, but I can't get this one... If I drive it smooth I'm too slow, if I try to go faster I fuck up and spin myself out. Controller btw, no wheel yet

I used a Volvo C30 with some hp/weight mods for beginner, then the C4 WRC for intermediate and advanced. The only event that I had to do more than once without golding was the beginner tarmac since I spun out more than a few times from being used to dirt/snow.

Also for the dirt/snow rally events, you shouldn't try to drift as it slows you down when you try to exit and straighten out. If you can keep your car in a turn like you do on a tarmac course, it will help considerably. This is especially apparent in the Loeb challenges, you can see the computer ghost drifting and it will be very easy to make time up during these moderate sweeping turns. On the snow Loeb challenge I beat the ghost by a good minute, and that's with the 10 second or so head start it gets, just by trying to not drift too much during turns.

Well I'm stuck doing B-Spec for a lil bit. I can't blast my tv since I have to tend to someone who just had surgery. A few observations now my guy is almost 16.

    1) The AI is still stupid for attempting to pass, especially on turns. You still have to overtune your cars to compete. I think he barely gold all the GT Professional races (level 14).
    2) You actually have to pay attention at least every lap or 2 if you're not overtuned. You gotta tell them to overtake to really push them. Even then, the AI won't do it on turns.
    3) When mental strength starts to drain, your driver will do the stupidest things.
    4) For all the new drivers you get, do not take them to your b-spec level stuff. They will end up tarding it up when their mental strength bottoms out. You have to grind them only 1-3 levels above their current. I think there is 1 or 2 events where you can get away with it but I don't recall off the top of my head.

Probably gonna hit b-spec 20 sometime tonight. Too bad I can't burn through more A-Spec stuff.

My p330 is pretty much sex in a race car for B-Spec. Besides the fact that I love the design of these old race cars, my driver actually uses it pretty well. Maybe it's just me, but he seems to slowly be getting better with passing people in turns. He used to just ride someone's ass through a turn, but sometimes he'll take the initiative and dive to the inside before they have a chance to cut him off. This was especially apparent at Daytona in the truck race that he should stomp. A few levels earlier he was dead last in that race, now he's drafting and waiting for a chance to overtake without me telling him. Hopefully this keeps up as he gains levels, and I don't have to look back and forth at the screen hoping he hasn't fucked up royally.

How do you take such high resolution pictures? I've been trying to find the option because I remember them saying photo mode had a 8MP option but I can't find out how to use it.

Hit triangle while you got the camera out, and bump magnification to x2.

In photo mode you can do 3840x2160 but if you go to photo mode in a replay it will only do 1920x1080.
