So turns out I've been playing the game at 90% HD Display size instead of 100% >.> Was curious why my game didn't fill the screen, lmao. Also, I had my TV settings not set right it seems. Like a tunnel in Grand Valley.. the third tunnel, I had weird lighting issues where I'd see greens/reds and shit all up top on the ceiling, but adjusting it (changing the back light on the LCD, etc) seems to have fixed that. I'd never recalibrated a TV before.

Gran Turismo 5 Cars To Be Updated

Gran Turismo 5 has a mix of gloriously detailed "premium" cars and less detailed "standard cars." In an interview with Famitsu this week, Polyphony prez Kazunori Yamauchi reveals that there are plans in place to upgrade the standard cars to premium status.

The interview also sheds some light on the upcoming late December update, it seems. I'll hopefully be getting a look at the interview for myself shortly and will report back if there's anything else.

Hope it'll be an optional update (via free DLC downloads perhaps?) for those of us already strained on HD space. Do premium cars have any functions other than cosmetics, or was the damage-modeling reserved for them also?

Standard cars take damage but it looks pretty bad. Basically they just deform like they're made out of clay.

What car did people use for Bspec british lightweight race? I gave my driver a TVR griffith with almost 500hp and a couple weight reductions, the competition has like 200hp. Even still the moron can't finish better than 6th.

I used my F1 Stealth for that lol. I think once I gave it the two (or one?) weight reductions that were available I was able to enter it. If I remember right from other GT games, TVRs handle like ass. Give him an F1!

I don't have any stealth cars ; ~ ; Yeah, the car wasn't the best handler when I used it for the race, but I thought maybe if I give W. Nelson a car with twice the horsepower of his competition he might be able to pull one out. Guess I'll just try to find a british race car on the used market oneday...or if anybody wants to trade something for a Lambo Miura?!

Ugh. Keep getting these weird graphical problems. One's when I'm in the third tunnel on Grand Valley. I'd see a weird mixture of red/green/blue on the ceilings as I pass through and if I slow down, it's real visible.

Another problem is in Chamonix, I'd get these weird, gray, wavy lines that look like.. I dunno, like waves going out when you toss a rock in a pond? And i'ts clearly visible as I drive around the snow. So annoying.

File fix thing? o.O Either way.. it only happens on a few parts, but it seems like screen tearing of some sort. Ugh.

Options->Utilities->Salvage Files

It should fix any corrupted files you have.

God I hate b spec, truck challenge on laguna Sucks so muchhhhhhh

My drivers in general seem to do horrible on Laguna Seca. I am running the 1st endurance race for it tonight on bspec.

For the American Championship there i pretty much had to spam the "go faster you retard" command to win with my lvl 26 driver. Once he did get in front he was able to stay there though so i guess the problem with the track is the driving not using all chances to pass on the track and mainly just doing it on the start/finish line area.

For British Lightweight, I used the Motorsport Elise in both A and B Spec. Had to spam pace up/overtake commands, but once in front he cruised away with no trouble

Finally got my Formula Gran Turismo this morning. My B-Spec driver is absolutely raping the championship for it. Can't wait to do this event on A-Spec, they picked pretty good courses for it.
