Oh baby oh baby

Definitely use a little bit of traction control for Suzuka lol. It will really help during the first part with the winding turns.
Edit: Ok the board doesn't like my pictureOr I'm doing something rong idk.

Fixed it for you and congrats!
and I silver'd all the Nurburgring events, bronzed the VW Van/Elise Top Gear tracks, and a couple events on the Gran Turismo Cup Championship thing, but golded all the rest, so yeah.. money's good. After you get to 21 though, you can farm "Like the Wind" for 70k ever 4 minutes or so. Not to mention doing championships for exp gives a nice reward too at the end when you win.
Haha thanks. My brain is probably fried from two exams today and I couldn't figure it out lol.
Yeah, championships are awesome for farming money. Win all but the last event, and then enter the last event and quit right away. The events are good if you can gold/silver them pretty quickly, since you'll get the lower rewards along with it.
Also using the X1 for the b-spec Suzuka 1000k event is knocking an entire hour off of it from using the FGT lol. If this thing didn't suck gas so much it would be even faster. He's running consistent 1'25s without me doing anything. When I actually do this event it will probably only take about 3.5 hours since the X1 can do a lap of Suzuka in about 1'10 consistenly.
Yeah, RL friend of mine got his X1 around a week ago or so I think and he's been raping face with it. Sadly, it's a bitch to take in rooms because so many put restrictions on room or just kick him out since he's got it. You and him need to get on sometime and fuck around with it at some point. We should do a BG room some time.
As far as farming championships, yeah. I'll probably farm the dream car championship and back out on the last race. as for B-spec, mine's 20.4ish, so I'm farming the Polyphony cup until he's 21 and I get that Toyota 7, then gonna go back and finish the historic cup.
Definitely need some BG rooms. After Monday I'll be done with exams and I'll be pretty much free. I want to take it to tracks with a jump and see how far I can fly it lol. I'm thinking Eiger specifically since it has that huge one right after the start line. Maybe lower the downforce to all zero.
For b-spec you can power level new guys pretty easily. When you take multiple drivers into an event that you can pit in, they automatically change to the next guy in the list during a pit stop. Can cycle through drivers easily this way. In 3 races I've leveled 3 guys from 0 to 23/24. I think after the first endurance event I did with them, the grand valley one, they all went from 0 to 17 lol. I want to get them up closer to where my main is so during the 24 hour races they can switch off and drive a bit better, plus I heard a rumor you can use them for the a-spec 24 hour races too but I'm not sure about that.
I'll talk to my friend and see if he wants to jump in on a BG room and collect others from BG on my list to get together. That'd be fun to do. Another fun track to jump on, btw, is Cape Ring, right before the big ring.
Hrm.. 3 races from 0 to 23/24? All of them? Good god. It's taken me forever to take one guy to 20, lol. What races did you do for them? Endurance races? I'm still not familiar on the pitting thing anyway. LIke say.. I do the 4 hour endurance race or whatever when I unlock it, do they pit automatically? I know if you set them to pit at a certain strength, they keep pitting, so that doesn't really work.
Also, shit you unlock on Bspec (endurance races), you can do on aspec too, right?
and who are you on PSN again? I think I know, but wanna make sure.
Me and a couple of guys I know from COD usually run a room or two a day for a bit. We'll usually just fuck around on some tracks with cars with comparable Hp and occasionally using our Race Cars since some of the dudes we play with don't have anything substantial yet. You guys can add me and I'll let you know whenever I put a room up or you can always invite me.
Alright, I'm katsumara and I'll add you on there.
PSN is pdepratt. And yeah, I usually do endurance races since none of the other events really require pitting, besides the FGT event. Your driver will automatically pit either when he's low on fuel or his tires are under 25% or so. When he automatically pits, he gets tires and enough fuel to finish the race, or else they put a full tank in. It'll also switch out drivers if you brought extra along (you can pick to stay with the same driver too, it'll give a screen in the time you enter the pits to when your car is stopped). They always auto switch in order, so drivers 1/2/3/4 will always be switched 1->2->3->4. Your main b-spec level (yours, not the drivers) will get the same amount of exp no matter how many drivers you bring, so you might as well bring more unless if you're specifically trying to level a single driver.
Yeah, definitely. I'll add you on PSN after this race. I probably won't be available to race until Monday though. How do the online lounges work? Leader picks restrictions/race and the rest pick a car? Will it automatically give me a list of cars I have that fit the restrictions, like in A/B-spec?
Yeah, that's what I thought it was. As far as leveling up just one driver.. yeah, if I set to just use one driver, it'll pit, get tires/gas and then keep on going? I mean maybe I'd take an extra driver to level up as well, but I just wanna get to level 30 + get that trophy for getting a b-spec to level 30. So I guess it'd go from 1>2>1 and so on. Right?
and as far as picking cars goes, you can actually set to 'shuffle' and it'll pick your car randomly. Those are real fun.
Yeah, I mean it doesn't take too long to get other drivers up so it might actually be better to focus on one first, then level the other guys up later. That way you have one really good driver out there, most likely to start the race and give your other drivers a good lead in case they mess up a lot. And yeah, if you have one driver he'll just keep going after he auto-pits.
And shuffle sounds kinda fun. Would be awesome to have to win a race in a Nazi jeep lol.
Yeah.. last night I was doing it with a friend and I got this piece of shit from 1971, but it was fun as hell on the Top Gear track. We'll try that come Monday.
and good to know about pitting. Looks like the pit strategy is sorda useless then unless you wanna change to like rain tires over a real long race and all that. am doing Like the Wind now, about to finish the Indy 500 portion of it.
Oh yeah, I forgot to mention they'll pit automatically if it starts raining or stops raining, to change into or out of rain tires, respectively. And yeah, pitting strategy is just about useless, except for those races that keep the cars closely matched. The NA-Roadster endurance race I had to keep a near constant eye on everything, since if my driver got too complacent he'd slow down, and pits stops had to come into consideration as well. I'd rather pit if I was coming upon a big group of cars as that slowed him down too, and make him drive like an ass.
Yeah, I've left him in charge with a Castol TOM's Supra and he took sixth in the grand valley cup lol. The fastest car in that field besides mine was a stock NSX. After that I've decided to leave him with overpowered cars if I'm not going to be paying too much attention. The Minolta barely won the Indy 500 with me paying attention to him. I'm sure the X1 and the FGT will handle that easily. I've done the Suzuka 1000km overnight with the FGT and he's won it easily there too. Guess you have to find a car that's overpowered enough to where he always drives it faster than the others.
Yeah. Any race I can use the F1GT in, I will be lol. This damn Historic cup is pissing me off. Even with the Toyota 7, I'm having problems on the 2nd race. Not Deep Forest, but the other. He keeps plowing into the damn wall.
5 out of 6 laps on this fucking course and he's hit the same corner every damn time.
Yeah that shit got pretty annoying after awhile lol. I have a save replay from Cote D'Azur on that same race and the AI is so fucking dumb you wouldn't believe what you see lol. I'm having the same kind of issue on the Daytona Nascar race in A spec even as they somehow get a speed boost (yay rubberbanding) and fishtail me every time I position myself to draft. Fuck it's annoying. I'm also on now if anyone happens to want to race just trying to see if I can find that damn F1GT in the used shop.
Yeah, I'm just working on b-spec honestly. Doing the Nascar Championship as we speak. Finally beat Cote D'Azur. I mean.. it took all 8 laps for him to get ahead, then he did and went 5 seconds up by the end, lol. Made me ill. I think someone hit that corner of the wall at the big S-ish turn there near the end like every time.
