Kaisha I did some remote races with your guy, make sure you do the receive rewards thing, you should be like level 7 or 8 bspec from it lol.

I lol'd @ 1979
Jesus christ lol, level 0->8 in only three races? Thanks for the XP/free money <3.
[EDIT] Hah, getting some easy levels on my A-Spec doing level 6-8 events at lvl0 thanks to my B-Spec being 8. Also, someone recommend me some easy-to-listen music I can use for the menus, default stuff starting to annoy me.
So I got monza X1 challenge done...
I think I can best sum up my experiences on the other 2 tracks by stating that I decided it was time to take a break after rolling end over end on the first turn of the first lap on nurburg.
i got bronze on the X1 challenges, but i dont think i will be able to get even silver with a controller unless i be EXTRA careful on the turns i dont need to brake, and even then i either touch the grass or i have to brake just to make the turn.. watching the demo for all the courses though i just need to figure out where to brake and i think ill be able to do it
Looks like a new update was posted. Probably just code fixes for some of the bugs I've been seeing reported on GTP. Also just hit 39 in BSpec.
Edit: Details of the update are:
http://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=185768A new update has been released for Gran Turismo 5.
The main contents of the update are as follows:
[Major Changes and New Features]
Friend Rankings
In Drift Trials and Time Trials, you can now display leaderboards that shows only your friends. While it was difficult before to locate your friends in the general leaderboards, this now makes it easier to compare laptimes with them, allowing you to compete just between your friends for the best laps and scores.
[Correction of Known Issues]
- The calculation of performance points (PP) which is an index of a car's performance, is now calculated without taking into account the tyre selection. You can now combine the performance point restriction and the tyre restriction when setting the regulations for a lounge.
- Fixed the issue where the performance of electric cars increased/decreased after a certain amount of driving.
- Downloaded replays from Seasonal Event Rankings can now be viewed properly.
[Other Changes]
- Cars worth over 1,000,000 Cr. (Including those in a gift car ticket form) are now prohibited from being traded to prevent issues during the trading process. When lending and borrowing cars between friends, please utilise the car loan system.
wow wtf @ no trading cars worth more than 1m...
I think that's them combating how people were duping most cars, birthday glitch and trading glitch.
FUCK i was about to do that again for like 4 more cars i wanted, lmao that really sucks
So I raised my first driver to 40 today. I thought getting the "Air of Experience" trophy meant getting a driver to 40, then retiring him, since after 40 he loses his skills. Not so. They need to be active for 500 in-game days to get it, to fill up the experience bar at the bottom of the driver page. The driver I retired was nearly there, my other drivers are around level 37, but their experience bar is only about 1/4 full. Shitsux.
decided to take a day off from X1 and see how I do coming back... basically starting over lol >< this shit sucks

worst car ever, i feel your pain
Man, I feel like I'm cheating with the remote races. I just leave my three drivers set to online, and people on my friends list been using them. In 9 races with my first driver, 4 of which he won, he went from level 0 to 14.......
My other two drivers are at 13/11 with 6/4 races and 0 wins respectively also. I wonder if it's giving them huge XP because the opposition is probably a higher B-Spec level? At any rate, I'm b-spec lvl17 now without having made my drivers do any actual events.
a bunch of that is from me, I actually figured out I can do races against more than one of your guys at a time lol, the lower level ones can't keep up with the higher ones but they get good exp anyway
basically the reason it leveled you so fast is that it's designed to give good exp for like level 15-20ish
I wish more people would put their drivers online, I wanna see 16 man b spec tards flopping around the track.
By the way, in terms of efficiency for exp, it seems the 4 hour Nurburgring endurance event is the best, for both a and b specs.

you guys should add me for the remote races, im already friends with Kaisha but i haven't done much bspec since i would rather actually race then watch my guy since i share my tvs between my brother and my friend that let me borrow his tv and xbox (which is nice since his tv is hdmi lol)
and after doing laguna seca and tsukuba for endurances i am NOT ready for the 9 hour tsukuba lol, theres no way ill be able to keep my ps3 on long enough for those races
B-Spec is a lot more useful in the extreme/endurance series, when you can just start the race and not pay attention to it. The cars/money are some of the better reward cars in the game, and it's fairly easy to do. You could always leave the ps3 run while they use the tv for other things, unless if the ps3 is shared which doesn't really do you any good.
And yeah, I fucking hate the Tsukuba endurance races. It is way too short of a track to run it for 9 hours. I don't really give a shit if it's a real endurance race in Japan, that's fucking boring. Cape Ring, Monza, or an endurance rally race (charmonix full maybe? )would have been so much more enjoyable. I think of all the endurance races I've done so far, the 4 hour Nurburgring was the most enjoyable as it wasn't too many laps (30ish) so you didn't get too sick of the course, and I love the Nurburgring tracks.
yea, i got so bored on the 4 hour tsukuba i was just going for best lap time, i would beat it by .02-.05 every 10 laps or so, and my mx-5 had everything but the biggest turbo (i used stage 1) and i think my best was 1.04.50 when my average was about 1.07, it was mostly drafting in the right spots but it was still fun going all out trying to get better lap times.
oh man, finally beat nurburgring x trial, just suzuka left now
so far off on this one tho lol, can barely complete a lap
Well, in reading around for tips and shit, I figured something out. Some guy claimed that part of why it was harder with controller is that the wheels just plain won't turn as far. I was like hrm... that would explain some things. Then I remembered they added controller sensitivity option now...
Dude was right. I turned it up to 4 (starts at 0, range is -2 to +7), and instantly on Suzuka I went from not even close on times to hitting the marks, simply because I could flat out turn more than I could before.
Now I just gotta stay on the track for 2 straight laps and I totally got this lol. Wish I would have realized this during the other 2.
