Yeah that's usually the same problem for me. I have a hard time trying to keep them still, which makes playing frustrating.

I've been playing NFS:Shift and GT5 Prologue with a wheel. Couch/bed/chair + Wheelstand Pro has worked well for me.

Can not wait!
Has anyone seen anything about the customization? I hope it's half of what Forza 3 offers. :/
I honestly don't give a shit about it, I've never used it once in Forza. I just drive the car colors the game offers you. Livery editor was on the to-do list for GT HD and most of the features from that list are in GT5. I don't think they've mentioned anything yet, but I think they said they will have some surprises at Gamescom and TGS, so I don't think we've seen everything quite yet.
Almost a week old but I didn't see it posted here, probably because it doesn't look as though its open to the USA. (New info is bolded)

Damn I can't wait for this game, been playing GT5P for a while now and GT1-GT4 before that, so I can most certainly count myself a fan to the GT series.
Also nice to see some Lamborghini Gallardo models in that game.. got to ride one of those beasts (Gallardo SE) yesterday and can't wait to see if it's the same in the game, lol.
Edit. Also someone asked that how many will be playing with a wheel, well I know I am. Just can't get everything out of the game with the gamepad myself, where as playing with the wheel is always fun and even quite close to the real car feel.
Huge blowout at Gamescom.

Gif showing dust combined with wind effects
http://i35.tinypic.com/fks6x0.gif
i had to watch the 2nd gif like 5 times cause i was in awe, this game is going to be the best racing game that will ever come out, nothing will top this shit. weather being incorporated into the way the dust and smoke flows in the wind, wet tracks are prolly going to be the most difficult to master if they put in hydroplaning, CANT FUCKING WAIT!!!!!!!
I haven't played a console game seriously other than Smash for cube in about eight years. This game was about 40% of the reason I bought a PS3.
Finally a decent soundtrack option. Although some of the tracks over the years have been good they really sucked cause it wasn't racing music. What constitutes as racing music? Whatever gets you pumped I guess. The only games I can recall that ever did that for me were TopGear2, FZero and InitialD. I'll probably have it turned off as usual lol• custom soundtracks
Yeah I've been waiting for this game ever since I got 4 that was 5 years ago almost 6. This honestly has to be the most anticipated game ever!
And after getting 5 you'll want 6!
This seriously will be the best racing game of all time. Game of the century. Jesus. I'm already hype for the new Hot Pursuit, but daaamn, I think the wait will be worth it!
I hope they put that programmable AI bot back in from GT4 - that shit was fun.
im excited for the 60 fps on my 65" tv, gonna be epic
32 player lobbies? Fuck yeah, room for all of us BGers to hang out and race about.
The 1st GT got me into racing games....i cant wait for this one.
and trade cars! oh man, i really cant wait for this game lol, my friends are hella excited for this shit too since they are all about racing games and they love GT, i will have to show them that post of awesomeness lol
Go-Kart gameplay
http://www.gametrailers.com/video/gc...turismo/703228
We'll need to do a Go-Kart race with 16 people someday
Any word if it has built-in tourney mode for online? Would be great for the 32-player lobbies, break things down so everyone gets a chance to lose play.
Also, watching the kart video, this is all that was playing in my mind the entire time.
“B-Spec: racing-driver management simulator”.
What the fuck is the point. No, seriously, WHAT THE FUCK is the point!?
Thus far (5 or 6 years into development, I might add) they got:
- terrible AI (1996 called and they want it back);
- marble-like physics on impacts;
- frozen-lake syndrome afflicting any car (even birrion dorrar sportscars and WRC cars) on any surface;
- zero interaction with the elements of the environment (guard rails, fences, etc.);
- a pretty mediocre damage build which appears to be exclusive to a limited number of cars;
- no livery editor;
- only a handful of cars with interior view;
- no support for pad players;
- laggy head-tracking;
and OF ALL THINGS they go on and waste time on THIS.
I'm at loss of words, I hope this game bombs so bad they'll all get fired within a couple of months from release, Kazunori Yamauchi is a fucktard and so are the developers who've been following is design direction.
Too bad that hordes of fanboys will prolly be perfectly fine with whatever ends up being thrown into their general direction claiming it's the best game to ever grace an entertainment system.
