this reminds me of my trip to the Toronto Zoo this summer, one of the orangutans, I believe the older female, was sick, and one of the other adults was holding her and cradling her head on his shoulder and patting her head and smoothing her hair

it was really touching to see

Yeah I saw a documentary about orangutans once and they're really so close to us in so many ways... it's terrible how we (as humans) are totally wrecking their ecosystem
