Anyone familiar with Sony Vegas 8?

I bought the program a while ago and never really touched it but now I recently tried to make a video with some in-game footage captured with fraps and its giving me problems...

The major problem is that after I have my video how I want it I go to file>make movie and it gives me all these options on how to save it and what format ect but when I play the movie its resolution is shit like it looks like ps2 graphics.

I don't know WHY when I have high def video clips from fraps get converted to a shitty resolution even after looking at the clips I used again they are still in a high resolution and after saving several times, once uncompressed I am still getting a low resolution.

Any idea why when saving a vid it defaults to a lower resolution?

I found the source of the problem but after I render my video it lags and I don't know why...

Like I will be a minute in but its already 2 minutes in if I click the video timeline.

Make sure you're rendering the whole movie and not the loop region. (Select the timeline in Vegas and press Q to toggle.)

Also, what settings are you using to render?
