also I went to a summer camp right before grade 8 and somehow it managed to be largely egyptian kids. for the first time I experience racism, they referred to me as chrada (which I understand means white) and for some reason this was a strike against me

it was weird and kinda shitty, thankfully I don't have to deal with that all the time, or really at all, but I do feel sympathy for people who do experience it
