I always felt really bad for the frat guys. It's not like ass is hard to get in college, so they are basically paying people to treat them like shit and then act like their friends. I had a few frat friends and went to a few parties, but always had more fun at the local clubs and/or private parties.
HOWEVER, I will say that there are definitely a couple perks:
There were at least 2 sororities on campus that ONLY dated frat guys from this one house (rich one lol), and jesus those girls were smoking hot. These were the girls that drove porsches to their freshman communications class.
Those girls were basically high class hookers, but I cant deny they had rocking bodies.
The other "perk" was the frat houses had like every test/homework assignment from every class on campus logged and filed.. >.>
Porsche Q.Q
I never understood why a lot of fraternities have such high pledge/brother dues. $600 per semester? Really? Definitely paying for friends there, because there's no way you can justify charging someone that much if you're going to potentially call them your brother. Yes, fraternities are still organizations, and dues are pretty much necessary to maintain a good treasury amount for each semester to cover immediate costs, but if you're going to charge dues, it sure as hell better go back to the people paying them in one way or another.
Finding a fraternity or sorority that actually shows some semblance of professionalism and self-respect outside of when it's required is basically hit or miss when you go to college, but regardless, after you talk to a member for 30 seconds you can usually tell whether or not they'd make you do things like this:

pretend semen?
not man enough for the real thing i see
The dues were more like 3000 dollars a semester at my college.
Fuck.
$600 a semester isn't that high. Most fraternities have to pay mortgages on the house, all have to pay dues to nationals (can be around $150/person), and that parties, datenights, events, etc isn't free. Yeah yeah paying for friends is what some people pay but that money goes towards throwing parties/events 24/7 that you couldn't do with a group of friends. Ever rent a bus to go to a Braves game? Have a party with 1000 people and Yingyang twins as the band?
