Only works if you have a 5 hit build, polearm or GK. He's getting 19-20 on swings, 24 on WS, so he has a 5 hit, which isn't practical for anything other than showing off. No point in building TP in 5 swings if you're WS'sing for 600 on Too Weak mobs.

The point still stands. You cannot solo-SC on SAM without an exotic (and useless) gear setup (5 hit or Masses of DA), Sekka/Meikyo, magical haste, /DRG or /RNG, Soboro, or a lucky Shinsoku proc.

Delequiox gets 24%TP back from his polearm WS. He gets 3 ticks of meditate (60TP), and swings once for 19% TP return. You don't get 24%TP back from a GK WS nor do you get 19% TP from a single swing. You get 17 and 17.

24+19 = 43 tp. 43+60 (Max amount you get from meditate) = 103+.
17+17 = = 34. 34+60 = 94. This does NOT work.

Unless you are rocking a Futsuno Mitama or a Pachipachio that I didn't know about AND have a 5 hit build (20TP per swing) then I still don't see how this is mathematically possible.

YOU NEED TO LAND 2 GK SWINGS AFTER YOUR WS + 60% TP MEDITATE IN ORDER TO SKILLCHAIN.

It's impossible to tick 80TP in 6 seconds unless there is server lag or a tick-error. Meditate ticks every 2 seconds for 20TP per tick. X+2+2+2, no matter how you slice it, always comes out to more than 6. Even if X is 0.000001, it comes out to 6.000001.

I will, however, admit at this point that there timers in the game don't always work as intended due to lag. I've done quite a few 13 boost Chi Blasts before way back in '04~05 in a laggy 30+ man Kirin fight.

If you are able to time your meditate tick to the point of under 0.01 (Luck) then you might pull off the skillchain (Due to meditate ticking at <0.01, <2.01, <4.01 and <6.01 and the game not registering this as 6 yet, or also possible that the opportunity to skillchain doesn't end exactly at the 6 second point).

Saying you can reliably do this is impossible. If you claim it is, you have a superhuman timing ability and you should be proud. I'd still like to see a video of you doing it multiple times in a row. Fraps (Uncracked) gives you 30 seconds per record. You can make the videos easily with that. There are also other video recording programs so there is no excuse for you not to take 10~20 minutes to prove yourself.

Also it could be the fact that ticks aren't always perfectly timed. If you watch the Vana'diel clock, the minutes don't always tick at the same intervals. You could get lucky and get a faster 4th meditate tick.

Those 2 methods that I admit could work both rely on server lag and tick-errors more than skill. If you post a video of you skillchaining the way you say without hitting the mob twice between weaponskills, I will re-look at the time you have to complete a skillchain. For all I know the 6 second rule that we all live by is wrong.

Really though, calling people names and being insulting when your ideas are confronted is not the way to get your theory accepted, or gain any respect from a community.

If you time it right you can do Meditate then WS right away and you'll hit the monster right after you WS then with a 450 delay GK you'll hit again before the 6sec window and that's your 2hits+WS+meditate. Yes you DO need 2 hits, but you aren't taking into consideration that using a WS doesn't reset your delay it just pauses the timer. So wait 350 delay hit meditate > WS > hit wait 450+100ish WS > SC. Timing is VERY hard.

I am taking that into account. Even if the WS adds 0 delay and your swing is right after it, without haste or haste gear... 450delay is translated to more than 6 seconds and you won't get that 2nd swing before the chance to SC ends.

Med -> ws -> 0 delay -> swing -> 450 delay -> ws = too late. You would need to get your attack round's delay to under 360 to be swinging faster than once every 6 seconds. This requires 21% haste in gear or via mage/bard/dancer/hasso.

Only way it can be done with pure melee swings without soboro is some freak lag spike that delays SC window (only happened to me once, not claiming it's common, nor could I duplicate it over several hours of partying), or with some forced TP-gain like jump

Edit: to clarify on details, happened to be timed in such a way that I WSed and the melee went off right away, so I was within the 6.x second range when second WS went off, so either SC window range is slightly larger than 6 seconds (by a terribly small fraction) or it was server lag, either way, claiming to be able to duplicate this at will is idiotic at best
