Crit rate+ merits/gear is totally independent of dex:agi check and vice versa. Crit 'cap' is only reached by getting 50 dDEX(dex over mob's agi). Crit+% stuff just gets added on top of that.

You're talking about askar, please stop. Crits are a fairly weak way to increase damage, though the most potent one after haste and hitrate. There's no need at all to get 117 DEX over capping hitrate or maximizing haste.

Yea, the only Askar I would really like is the head and I'd probably use that with blitz ring. I've capped acc using Ares Body, Blitz, and Foragers mantle on birds when agg is up, so my hit rate should be fine when Agg is up with this.

When Agg is down I'll probably switch to Hauby+1 and Iota, but we'll see. Currently I can't hit 117 Dex without Thunder ring unless I use lightning bow and get lucky with a dex augment of at least 2 on some dusk gloves.

Edit: I could eat sushi also but meh, that would be more of a waste then a help probably.

I recently got Pixie earring. Until now I was using Adroit + Brutal for SA WS and SA solo, should I just replace Adroit with Pixie and call it good? Or would Pixie+Ardoit be worth having in either of those sets?

But back on track, what would you recommend to hit 117 with my setup? I could put 2 merits into dex and use lightning bow and I would still be able to retain 20% haste, but I'd hate to drop str merits for just one job.

What I'd recommend with 69 base DEX? Ancient torque (73), Armada hauberk (84), Byakko's haidate (99), Hollow earring (101), augmented Barone hands w/ 5 DEX and 3% haste (106), Cuchulain's (110), Rajas ring (115), Aurum shoes (118 ). This allows for virtue stones and not having either Armada (NQ suffices) or Hollow earring (Minuet suffices). Yes, Lightning Bow +1 if you don't use Fort axe. Otherwise? I wouldn't recommend going for 117 at all. 2 DEX merits make for a little more leeway, though.

From my experience, Brutal is too good to not WS in. Just the Ardoit, and use Pixie/Brutal for weapon skilling.
