Homam Corazza is also worth taking into consideration if you don't have problems with hitting above 0 on the mob, as stats compared to hauby+1 are:
+28 hp +28 mp +3 def +5 agi +20 eva +1% TA vs -6 dex(critrate only) -6 str -12 attack
I'd say ares if you don't have a proper tank party and need the mp, avalon if a mob has access to instant magic damage(obviously spells or slow tp moves don't matter as you can macro), and homam/hauby+1 otherwise. I really hope starr was trolling about tping in hydrabert. I also want to hope ringthree was trolling, but I think he's really just that dumb by this point.
Can't really see Homam body ever beating Haub +1 unless you have excalibur. The mp, agility and evasion are all completely negligable because by tping in not-ares you are ok for mp and the agility and evasion aren't doing anything except procing double attack. Extra hp is always welcome but only applicable if all your other sets swap into more hp than your idle (which they should but might not if you start adding more hp to tp build), the defense won't do anything and the triple attack is only 1%.
I agree with the rest of your points, but max HP is useful even if you don't always reach it, since higher max HP = less CE loss upon taking damage.
Changing 5s to 6s isn't going to do anything drastic for your hate either, pld's tp:ws ratio is pretty ridiculous and as minimal as 1% TA is it's still some amount of tp. It's quite possible the 28 hp could save your ass at some point or another, though the differences between the 2 bodies are extremely minimal anyway unless you're hitting 0s.
If you have ebody/homam corazza and you don't have sam and/or nin lvl'd I doubt it would be worth keeping a hauby+1 for pld.
Except pld can't wear e-body, so I'm not sure how that entered into the discussion.
I have ebody and Hauby+1 for Paladin! It's largely because the first big item I worked towards in the game was Haubergeon and the +1 reminds me of that struggle, long ago... plus there's always a chance I'll level a Hauby+1 job in the future.
I have Homam, Haub+1, Avalon, Ares. (Few other situational bodies too~) Homam still in storage though cause I considered Haub+1>Homam for tping purposes.
I never find myself in a 2BRD party when I'm on PLD. So I'm always getting a combination of marches/ballads which works well. I always pop a sushi if I'm gonna melee. I have acc in a few other places like neck/rings.
What do other PLDs use when tping on stuff like Odin, Cerb, Khim, SCNM NMs, Ultima, Omega, etc...
It seems from the responses there isn't a clear winner~
EDIT: Forgot to add I'm still sitting on 6 sword merits(12 skill) from when I used ridill~
Well I asked him again today and he said he would use the Hauby, so case finished.
I like Ares body for Omega and Ultima personally. I can't really speak to cerb/khim since I didn't have Ares body when I fought them (or atonement for that matter) or odin (never done it). For most everything I eat either pizza +1 or dorado sushi and I never really find acc to be a huge problem.
In the particular case of Omega I think Ares body excels when its on 4 feet (mass def up). I suppose, unless you were trying to do omega with 5-6 with with minimal support/dd capabilities, there's really no point in caring since Omega is pretty lol anyway. The tp shots can be nasty enough that refresh effect can help though.
For Ultima I, again, prefer Ares body because Ultima has a pretty jacked up def to begin with and I still hit for 0 with pizza and an above average tp build. The high def coupled with pretty shitty tp moves makes Ares the winner in my mind.
Just my 2cents.
Is it just me or is Dorado sushi not quite as good as Bream sushi (+1) for PLD? It's just 3 enmity... some % hitrate will result in more enmity and damage in an Atonement-friendly environment.
Your ACC would have to be quite low (far lower than you would be in a melee idle build with sushi) for the small improvement to WS frequency to overtake 3 Enmity, and then there's the fact that Dorado boosts your enmity for spells and JAs as well. I'd stick to Dorado Sushi. This is assuming you're using NQ or HQ of both, HQ Bream might edge out NQ Dorado for meleeing but not overall.
Hello!:D
I got a questions for my BLM and its stun gear. Its mostly on the footwear:
Main: Jupiter
Grip: I'll go buy Thunder Grip in a sec lol
Range: Phantom
Head: Walahara
Neck: Dark tourque
Earrings: Loq. & Magnetic
Body: Goliard or Nashira?
Hands: Src. Hands+1
Rings: Balrahan & Tamas
Back: Errant (I might go pickup a Warlock mantle)
Waist: Swift
Legs: Nashira or Wzd. legs+1
Feet (Main question!): Rostrum or Nashira?
So my basic goal is lower recast on stuns while filling in the remainding spots with Dark and Magic Acc.
So "What's Better?" Rostrum pump with the Fast Cast (2% Cast, 1% Recast) or Nashira shoes (1% Haste and 2 Magic Acc)?
Thanks in advance!:D
Personally, I use R pumps. I think it goes back to years ago when I was constantly on stun duty for LBC and tried to shave every possible % off my stun casting time.
Aside from mobs that build resistance to stun (which you should be conserving stuns on and MACC may not do a whole lot for anyway), Goliard body > Nashira body and feet are basically a tossup. If I remember the way FC works Nashira would give you slightly lower recast assuming no rounding but SE rounds recasts so 99% of the time you're not going to see a difference between the two. If you feel the 2% off casting time makes Rostrum more valuable or you otherwise wouldn't use Nashira Crackows, just use the Pumps.
