When I merit I am 2boxing WAR and COR 99% of the time and retards still fucking tell me I am wrong for using Fighter's over Chaos when there is no DRK in the PT, how could it possibly be better if you include the increased WS frequency and DoT?

Because, its not like haste vs attack gear where you can wear haste to tp and swap in attack for ws, when you have one or the other the FULL time (like a buff) then frequency isn't taken into consideration. As haste or DA would increase your frequency the attack buff would add to DoT and then add as direct damage to ws, which makes up for frequency.

So lets say you had 1% attack and 1% da and had to fulltime one.

The 1% attack is gonna count for DoT and WS dmg as well as the DA because you have it full time, not something u can wear for one and macro out for the other

To be completely honest I think they would be very similar in output generally but I prefer the DA, I do roll Chaos when there is a DRK in the PT of course but I will try it without since I have Comm Tricorne. I agree with Max though, everyone follows the "2 support and COR always uses Corsair's Roll" but I have done birds with a single BRD using 2 Minuet and 4 melee and it was just as good exp and a COR using double melee rolls with the same output.

You really lack the ACC needed for slugwinder. Keep Skote even over BFG, keep scout's belt over Bucca(Bucca is really only better if you're using a -enmity build; scouts is better for raw damage). Id also consider using Behe(+1) ring over a flame ring. Capping off your ACC will do more for your damage than any single piece of gear can add.

I'm usually an accuracy whore but since i've capped merits on archery i've had no problems and started swapping out pieces for more str & ratk. I'm usually eating sushi for events (Its overkill most of the time I know, but I really hate missing any barrage hits) with the exception of dynamis where I'm popping steak and for that I usually do put behemoth rings in.

In typical situations, assuming COR has a commodore tricorne and it's 1/3 proc rate as has been suggested, chaos will add more damage than fighter's roll before even considering that fighter's does damn near nothing for the COR rolling them(who should also be contributing to damage).

Stop eating sushi unless you're at an HNM or own a KC; start eating Pot-au-feu. This will help on lowering the overkill on ACC you have.

As for bucca > scouts; for pure damage yes, but please do not ignore the more consistent WS acc AGI+5 Racc+7 will add. this should overtake the STR bucca belt offers over scouts.

Hachi feet should own everything for WS damage; all the while adding Racc. For reference here is my current Slug gear.

Am I doing it right? please tell me i'm doing it right!

There are a few pieces i'm wondering if other rangers have experience using that are better for it. Off the top of my head ladybug earrings +1, CFG instead of kote, Buccaneers belt, and Hachiryu feet. Is there a delicate balance for str, ratk, and agi? or is it always more beneficial to just skip the AGI and pile on the STR and ratk?

Assuming your base agi is 70(?) and sea gorget does give +10 racc to slugwinder, you're at 425ish racc on slugwinder without food. Assuming firing slugwinder at 100tp give you -30racc penalty, you're only at 395 racc for 100tp slugwinder. Your set up is fine on normal mobs with pot au feu. If I did anything wrong then feel free to correct me ^^.

Since it doesn't seem like he's sitting on wads of cash i am going to assume he doesn't pop sole sushi +1 every 30 mins. so he's probably popping sole or heaven forbid squid, so that's 358.9 acc means he's gotta come up with 41.1 acc in gear or + 72 dex or some combination of both.

So for blu unless he's fighting campaign mobs his best choice is currently
acc acc and more acc.

My only Melee is COR and I wear turban. I always assumed it was better because 1% haste makes a big different if you have a bunch more haste approaching 26% cap, but is there more to it?

I agree with your point (It's likely that he needs ACC), I was just curious about the rest of his gear since I've yet to hear about caps on sushi, so his gear might affect the amount of ACC he receives from sushi.
