    With Archery merits, and slightly above average gear (not average being retarded, average being decent), Soboro + Sidewindering or Polearm for Pentathrust on Lesser Colibri? (Not there yet, but curious as I'm about to be leveling SAM)

    (Posted in Random Question thread not realizing this is more of a "What's Better" question <_<)

    Pretty sure that Ares's would surpass Zahak's, but I don't know if either woud be an option.

    THF for farming/solo and things like that it isn't going to matter at all. Unless you do very difficult solos you will probably be at or near accuracy cap so go with Rajas.

    BLU will depend on what gear swaps you do for spells and such.

    Let me clarify.

    The comparative difference in the number of Atonements you get from having a high accuracy body is not going to be all that much over time. Over that time enmity might have a greater effect.

    This is never, ever, ever a valid argument unless you know the exact (to the second) fight time of something before beginning the fight.

    What? This is for TP, not overall.

    ~364 accuracy barring Ring1 assuming full Sword merits, accuracy bonus but with some variance by sub and amount of DEX set, ~369 with Cuchulain's. If you're eating Sole Sushi you've got 418 (424) accuracy, Pizza +1 gives 404 (409). For the events you listed, I'd use Rajas.

    Zahak's is an option. Was my first SW piece when we camped it. No one else in the LS even wanted it.

    I wasn't sure if the pure 15 ACC on jump would've been better to get it to land, or Zahak's would've been better. My Jump gear is turning into my WS gear + Drachen feet.

    Also, I think Heca's obviously better, but I was thinking of Heca Cap vs AF+1 head for Jump.

    I double checked their post, they said nothing about TP, spells, whatever. I was just answering the questions that were asked. It was basically impossible to answer.

    Come on ringthree, let's not be anal. I know you're a big boy and can apply logic. If I list thinks like Turban, Suppa, Dusk+1, and Homam then it's safe to assume (and better be the case) that I'm speaking about TP.

    Then how do you suggest comparing accuracy to enmity in this case.

    The way that RR is answering the question he is acting as if the only way to gain enmity is through WS's, and further that the accuracy body is the only way to access those WS's.

    My question is just whether the gain in enmity from a slight increase in WS's (how else are you going to compare it if you don't consider the increase in accuracy in terms of getting a few more WS's) compared to having more enmity for a slight decrease in WS's.

    If you have a better model for determining how to compare them please let us know.

    LOL You asked the question incorrectly and it is my fault. Gotcha sport!

    Don't backpedal and act like an ass when you were clearly wrong in not assessing my post as TP.

    How did I ask the question wrong? Because I didn't explicitly state that this was for TP despite the clear equipment indicators? Then you have the nerve to tell someone that you reread my post and didn't see anything about "TP"...

    I apologize to you and the population if I overestimated the intelligence of the readers.

    Atonement 750 @ 45 enmity;

    CE = 750 * (80/58 ) * 1.45 = 1500
    VE = 750 * (240/58 ) * 1.45 = 4500
    TE = 6000.

    Damage per normal hit of say 20 damage which is quite high;

    CE = 20 * (80/58 ) * 1.07 = 29.5~
    VE = 20 * (240/58 ) * 1.07 = 88.6~
    TE = 118.1
    Well, let's use Hauby+1 vs Hydra Haubert;

    Hauby +1 melee hit damage: ~21 (let's call it), @ 7 Enmity
    Hauby +1 accuracy: 83%
    Hydra Haubert melee hit damage: 20, @ 16 Enmity
    Hydra Haubert accuracy: 80%

    CE/VE generated per hit:
    Hauby +1:
    CE: 21 * (80/58 ) * 1.07 = ~31
    VE: 21 * (240/58 ) * 1.07 = ~93

    Hydra Haubert:
    CE: 20 * (80/58 ) * 1.16 = ~32
    VE: 20 * (240/58 ) * 1.16 = ~96

    Over 100 hits,

    Hauby +1:
    CE: 31 x 83 = 2573
    VE: 93 x 83 = 7719
    TP: 6.3 x 83 = 522.9

    Hydra Haubert:
    CE: 32 x 80 = 2560
    VE: 96 x 80 = 7680
    TP: 6.3 x 80 = 504

    The gap between the two will close as accuracy gets higher. I haven't been strictly accurate with the decimals here throughout but I'm so tired

    Hi, I was wondering, for a Monk who only does Salvage (really), what would be better?

    Caestus (Stage 4 Spharai) or Destroyers?

    I am talking about using these against standard salvage enemies; gears, chariots, starting floor mobs, NMs, etc.

    I may be stuck with Caestus for some time, so i'm wondering if they might be of some use.

    I'm pretty sure Destroyers still win, but I want to confirm.

    Enmity does nothing if you have enough hate. You will have enough hate. Atonement does damage at least :3

    Denali feet or Dragon Feet for THF weapon skill? I keep getting lazy about setting up a Suzaku run, so I'm left with these for now.

    For a multi-hit weaponskill such as penta a good low level TP set should look very similar to a WS set. Parse your accuracy (get K-Parser, it's really nifty) and determine if you can get away with pizza, or if you need sushi to keep up a higher hit-rate. On DRK I very rarely had capped accuracy, even with sushi (although I don't have PCC/A and an ACC bonus trait.)

    If your accuracy is capped in TP phase, look to swap out some acc for strength or attack. If it's not, I probably wouldn't, missed hits of penta don't do any damage. I don't know if I was 'doing it wrong' but I didn't make a separate guillotine set until level 72 (swift belt doesn't exist and dusk gear) and always parsed very well. Feel free to scold me if I was.
    Thankie, I tried to use Kpaser before and it kept crashing, when i tried it when you said it again, it works now

    I wouldn't bother making a set with multihit weaponskills except swapping out the belt (if Swift). If it's a singlehit, then I'd always have a set for it since full STR is beneficial there; if you try to go too offensive on multihits early they're just gonna end up sucking from lack of consistency.
    No CoP, No Swifts or Rajas

    Enkidu's Subligar or Mirage Pants for diss/f.rip on Blu? Generally fight limbus/nyzul level mobs.

    No sword merits/phys potency merits, popping sushi most of the time.

    Current setup:
    perdu/beast slayer/x/atar sachet
    ohat/pcc/triumph/suppa
    magus jubbah+1/alky/flame/rajas
    smilodon/warwolf/enkidu/denali

    Assuming Accuracy Bonus, /NIN, ~10 DEX from spells, and Sole Sushi, you've got 418 Accuracy with no leg gear equipped. Use Enkidu's Subligar.
